About this ebook

ULTIMATE PURPOSE

This book is a collection of stories, which are fictitious, however like stories Beyond Belief book one, some of the characters are real and some situations can be believable. I will leave it to your own imagination which parts are factual and where I got most of the characters for my books, needless to say a lot of people I have either worked with or met over the years. The idea of Blood Trail is to follow the life of a vampire who desires to be human again, after years of taking blood to survive she asks God to help her become a human and live a normal life once more. To achieve this she has to accomplish tasks and defeat the vampire that made her a vampire.

The next story called Cracked Porcelain Broken Wing and Lost Souls follows the career and life of a psychiatric nurse called Ruth, her journey of life involves being involved with a murderous psychopath and finding her own comfort zone after childhood abuse. She is also discovering her own sexuality in an ever changing world where same sex relationships are just being excepted, with this and the shock of her friend Kathy discovering that she has cancer. Amidst all the dilemma her dead girl friend Pamela lurks in the shadows as a ghost watching over Ruth.

The third story is about a guardian angel called Faith who in her efforts, helps a number of people in their life to survive many problems. Faith has to learn to understand humans in order to help them and so she lives amongst them for a while. But her adversary Dawn attempts to prevent from helping people and causes her harm, she eventually destroys Dawn and her wicked demons and is attacked by her sister Sonia in a desperate attempt to take over the earth. Now after the failed efforts to invade the earth, the demons try a more subtle approach to conquering the earth with a more intense style of evil warfare. Fiona is the latest demon to be sent to a prison to capture souls and recruit an army of demons that will rule the earth. A girl called Jodie has been chosen as the main target, she is in prison for murder and considered ideal to join Satans army. Faith has to enter the prison in order to save her and prove that she can be a true guardian angel.

Author

Sarah Ruth Scott

Sarah has written four stories in this book that deal with the unusual and sometimes the bizarre. These stories explore areas of the imagination that leave the reader thinking about various aspects of mental health and questions whether or not certain things are real or imaginary. In the first story ‘Understanding Jodie’ the author questions the moral ethics of a teenage girl. The second story ‘Living with Faith’ is about an angel learning to protect others living as a mortal. The third story is Alison’s lifelong diary questioning her poor lifestyle following her death, only to experience her life again with radical changes. Finally the most bizarre of all stories ‘The secret life Helen Harris’ about a woman who wants to change her life and is helped but with drastic consequences.

    BLOOD TRAIL

    INTRODUCTION

A woman called Siena enters the future through a picture and befriends a man Jack who later discovers he is in love with a vampire. However this is just the beginning of his problems as vampire slayers also enter the future and both are faced with more than they bargain for in this fast pace story of romance and intrigue. The story takes the readers through a journey through time meeting interesting characters and danger around every corner. Siena wants to be human again and asks God to help her reach her goal, a guardian angel called Faith appears with a mission to defeat the vampire that cursed her life in order to be human again she persuades Jack and others to help her achieve this.

    THE BLOOD TRAIL BEGINS

It was a cold night, the moon was full and the trees blew wildly in the air, in the thick of the forest a woman ran frantically for her life. She had mud on her pale face and torn clothes, she had fear in her green eyes and constantly looked back holding back her hood in order to see her pursuers. She could hear them shouting and holding clubs, the loud snapping of twigs suggested they were getting closer. Suddenly she caught her arm on a branch scratching the flesh on her wrist it began to bleed and she fell over another branch down a ditch. Her eyes started to blur as she desperately tried to get to her feet, she noticed a castle in the clearing and began to run towards it. She was followed by two of the men, who began to run behind her, she arrived at the main door, which was open and proceeded down a long corridor. She appeared to know where she was going and entered a room; blood began to trickle down her arm as she gazed at a portrait painting of a man. She noticed a strange thing about the painting as the man in the portrait began to look as if he was moving and the background appeared transparent. She put her hand on the picture and her hand seemed to blend into it, so she withdrew her hand in shock, then out of curiosity she placed her hand in a little further. At that moment she heard voices and noticing the blood dripping from her fingers put the rest of her body through the picture. She found herself rushing through some kind of wind tunnel with swirls of light travelling around her pushing her forward leading through another picture. She eventually reached the other end of her journey and landed onto the floor on top of a man.

After wrestling with him, she managed to break free and he stood to his feet and offered a hand to help her to her feet. She slapped his hand and managed to stand by herself looking very annoyed by his actions.

Get off me and stay away from me, she shouted.

Hey calm down, he replied looking around him.

How did you get on me like that? she asked.

Well I was admiring that picture, he pointed to the picture. When you shot out of it and fell on top of me.

Oh you mean that picture I feel really odd, she said holding her head.

What’s wrong? he said touching her on the arm.

Don’t touch me, she said nervously I warn you I bite.

I am not going to harm you, I just want to help, he insisted.

So who are you and where am I? She asked.

I am Jack Clarke and this is an art gallery, Jack said. Don’t you know where you are? he said bewildered by her strange manner.

I am Siena, I was being chased in a forest and ran into a castle, a weird thing happened, I seemed to enter a picture and landed here. Siena explained.

Wherever here is? she said looking round the room with her green eyes.

Come let’s get some air, Jack said leading Siena to the exit.

Suddenly Siena saw daylight and froze like a statue by the door.

I think I will stay inside for a while, Siena said shaking.

Ok let’s get a drink in the canteen, Jack suggested.

That sounds good to me, Siena said relieved.

They walked towards the canteen passing art displays such as pictures, statues and other strange shaped objects. Siena was bewildered by the displays and appeared disorientated by her surroundings. The clothes that people were wearing also fascinated her; she continued to hold her head sitting at a table.

So who was chasing you? Jack asked.

Oh a few strange men with clubs annoyed about something, Siena said avoiding eye contact.

Oh that explains a lot, Jack said sarcastically.

Look I have to get back, Siena said worried.

But your in danger there, Jack said concerned.

I am not safe here either, I can’t explain it but believe me I am, Siena said trembling.

"Listen! You don’t recognise objects and outside scares you so I can only conclude that you are from the
