INTRODUCTION
The Harrington curse goes back a few generations and affected the Harrington family in a big way, it was said that Annabelle Harrington went missing and cursed three mirrors before she disappeared. The mirrors were discovered in an attic and each given to three members of the family, it was then that horrific events took place that led to death itself. Horrible visions and blood curdling screams took place in Harrington Manor. Emma an owner of one of the mirrors, was a descendant of Annabelle’s Husband John Harrington who was Lord of the Manor and the first member of the family to be cursed. John discovered that Annabelle was having an affair with the artist Ralph Bedford, so he pursued and murdered him. Annabelle went missing after discovering that she was pregnant by Ralph, it is there that the strange story begins, dare you read on! A number of crime investigators from Criminal World magazine are assigned to investigate the unusual activities of these mirrors and what lies between the deaths of one of inheritors -Gladys Harrington. One such reporter called Samantha King is desperately trying to sort her own life out and believes the answer could come from her trip to Scotland on a dangerous search for the mystery of the mirrors.

THE ARTIST’S MODEL
I t was a midsummer day in a remote part of Scotland somewhere between Edinburgh and North Berwick near a small village called Aberlady, in a forest a man was walking on a dirt track dressed in a collarless shirt and a pair of brown corduroy trousers. He was carrying a shoulder bag and wore a hat with a brim that covered part of his face. He had a long nose and a small goatee beard, he was fairly young and probably in his late thirties although he looked older due to his appearance and harsh skin. But what was more noticeable was his large staring eyes that appeared menacing at first glance. He travelled along a dirt pathway carrying a shoulder bag and walked over a stone bridge across a stream, towards a group of rocks which were situated by a set of interestingly shaped trees. He then sat on a rock and produced a sketch pad and a set of pencils from his bag and began sketching the trees. He had been drawing for a while when a woman came walking towards him she crossed the bridge and walked up to him. She was wearing a hooded top and a pair of jeans; she removed her hood revealing a beautiful face with gorgeous large green eyes and a radiant smile.
That’s quite amazing,
she said admiring his work.
Why thank you my lady,
he said respectfully.
She removed his hat and kissed him on the forehead. My clever Ralph,
she said smiling.
Why Annabelle be careful that no one sees us together,
he said concerned.
To hell with anyone else, we are all that matters,
she said laughing.
Well you are the lady of the Manor and me a mere artist,
Ralph said smiling.
You mean John, he either abuses me or neglects me, and I don’t know which is worse do you?
Annabelle said with a tone of anger in her voice.
Annabelle my love, you deserve more than that,
he said squeezing her hand.
I have you and that’s all I need, you are my true love,
she said with sincerity.
I will love you to my dying breath, you are my angel, my princess, I worship you,
he replied.
With that he packed up his equipment and they walked over the bridge and towards his cottage in the woods. The cottage was surrounded by wild flowers and bushes, the cottage roof had red tiles and white walls with leaded windows and a slatted wooden door. They entered the cottage and inside was just as inviting with its wooden furniture and colourful walls and beamed ceilings. They entered the kitchen and Annabelle noticed the crockery in the sink, with dirty pans on the cooker.
Ralph really, you might wash up occasionally,
Annabelle looked at him disgusted.
Well I am the only one here and I think why bother,
he replied shrugging his shoulders.
That’s not the point, have some pride man,
she said filling the sink with hot water and washing up liquid.
Oh come on Annabelle leave it,
Ralph said tutting.
But a stubborn Annabelle carried on washing up and ignored his pleas; instead he decided to make a drink for both of them. When they had finished they went into the studio, Annabelle was admiring his work, paintings, sculptures and wood carvings. He could bring anything he did to life with his artistic hands and mind; he was not just an artist but a creator who loved beautiful things. But his favourite subject was Annabelle
