    INTRODUCTION

If you had asked me twenty-one years ago, would I have believed what was ahead of me in my journey in life, I would not have believed. If you would have told me you had these experiences I am about to tell you, I might have had a hard time relating to you. The reason I would not have believed you or would have found it hard to relate to you would be because my past had not adequately prepared me for what was about to take place. As I look back on my life, I would like to share my testimony with you throughout this book. In the middle of August 1990 I got married, many years ago. Like many readers, you start out with a plan of how life would be; it’s a good plan and things should go smoothly. However, as strong as you think you are, as prepared as you think you are, as disciplined as you think you are, and as spiritual as you think you are, you are never as ready as you thought you would be to walk into your Predestinated Destiny, which means the Destiny that God has foreordained for your life. In Jeremiah 1:4-5 KJV the Bible says, Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

This allows us to know that before we were born God had a plan for our lives. I grew up in the Roman Catholic Church, where I learned about morals and the fruit of the Spirit Love; I understood the church’s beliefs, and felt I was fully prepared for my future of continuing to be active in church as a Sunday school teacher, one of the youth leaders, a member of the choir, and outreach departments. I felt that I was ready for the few challenges of life. I had gotten the man of my dreams, studied for a career, and the job of my dream. However, like many of you, I was not taught much about warfare, and the little I knew about it was not much to compare to the amount of information I did not know. Had it not been for the grace and mercies of God, I would not have been here today. In Hosea 4:6 KJV, the Bible says: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

When we do not study the Word of God, then we do not know the will of God. When we do not know the Word of God, we do not really know God. Why? Because we cannot separate God from His Word. How do I know this? The Bible says in John 1:1 KJV, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Do you see it? Jesus is the Manifested Word; the Bible is the written Word. Therefore, Jesus is the Word and the Bible is the Word and the Word is God. The Word taught us, who God was, and what pleases Him. Another scripture comes to mind when Jesus said in John 14:9 (NIV), Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.

Therefore, when we see Jesus who is the Son of God or God manifested in the flesh, or when we see the Word of God, we are seeing God Himself, hence we learn about God, His will for our lives, and what pleases Him. This means that the lack of knowledge about His Word is really lack of knowledge about Him and His will for our lives, causing the creation to suffer.

Yes, God’s people can perish or can suffer for many years and even for a life time for the lack of knowledge or for not having the information they need to solve a particular equation in their lives. Therefore, by the anointing of God and the words of my testimony I hold agreement with you as you allow Jesus through His Holy Spirit to do a work in your life. Hence, I believe God that you will see any stronghold in your life broken by the end of this book, in Jesus’ Name I pray.

    CHAPTER 1

    OPEN DOORS

An open door in your life is when we sin or do things that are displeasing to God knowingly or not knowingly that allows the enemy to come into our lives and cause havoc. In the Bible we see this happening in Genesis 4:7, when God speaks to Cain and says to him, If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.

This means that the enemy wants us to open one door in our life so he can come in. I always use an example when I am trying to explain this to people by sharing that when you allow someone to come and stay at your house as a house guest for a few days, sometimes that person has other people, perhaps their family member or friends, coming to check on them or spend time with them. Many times, before you know it, more people are in your house than you bargained for. Sometimes your house guest is not able to leave within the time limit you had allocated for them and, before you know it, things are out of control and you don’t know how it happened.

This is how Satan works, when he is allowed
