Robert H. Carey
Robert H. Carey is 86 years old and is a native Oregonian. He retired after forty-four years in the business life insurance and pension administration businesses. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon where he lettered in football. Carey was General Sales Manager of a Caterpillar dealership before entering the insurance profession. Carey’s previous book was entitled, Loving for Many Reasons.

The title I have chosen for this book describes a process of dealing with pain… the frequency, the depth, the intensity and the duration of grief experienced with the loss of a loved one or in my case the loss of many loved ones.
Here are seven personal stories describing those losses, my responses to them and important lessons I learned from each loss. It is my hope you will consider their merit and possible application in your life.
First of all, even though I am 86 years old, I still have a lucid memory which is most useful in writing this book.
