EPILOGUE
Preface
Throughout life, each person builds through personal experiences, a lifetime of memories upon which one can reflect and remember and share with others if one chooses. Sometimes, under unique circumstances, one may not understand, fully, the impact of an event or believe at that moment—Did this really happen to me?
Each one of us, who is a friend, a sister, a wife, a husband, a brother, a parent, or a grandparent, do not want to be labeled or viewed as strange or
weird". However, if you are a communicator, at some point in time, there is a burning desire to share unusually unexplainable life moments, in a sincere effort to give hope, peace and reassurance to others who may be wondering, in similar circumstances, if they are indeed in full possession of their mental faculties.
Do I think I am the only one who has witnessed or been a participant in these unique events? Absolutely not. However, until recently, there have been but a few who have shared their stories with me, including a young lady whom I have known for many years and a family member. Recently, I have added a very personal episode described to me by a church member, in her testimony to our congregation. She is a cancer survivor and she received a profound message which I have titled in the book, a new Vision of Hope.
It is a wonderful project to assist other cancer patients and their families as they journey through the process of diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Her optimism and enthusiasm is certainly contagious! The manner in which she received inspiration for this project is dramatic and compelling.
I feel that one has to be open, receptive and quiet in their own spirit to receive these gifts. In other words, you have to be ready for certain knowledge, recognize it and accept it as a gift; even if you do not understand the implications until later in life. In some incidences, one may never understand the true purpose of these gifts but that does not diminish the joy and wonder of having received them.
All of these true events occurred between the years of 1974 and 2011. In this book, the episodes are written in chronological order. At times, there are many years between the incidents. In the last few years, perhaps I have reached a higher level of receptive and anticipatory mind-set because the messages are more frequent. Since these encounters are beyond the normal bounds of explanations within the known laws of nature, they are, indeed, beyond logic.
