About this ebook

The war has started. The battle lines have been drawn. Satans time is growing shorter and shorter. He will come at you and your family with all the weapons he has. You have a choice: surrender to a loser, or stand with Jesus Christ, the winner.

You are called to be a warriorwage a good warfare. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth, entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier (II Timothy 2:34).

You have not been given a spirit of fear. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline (II Timothy 1:7).

You are called to resist the enemy. Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

Be prepared. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devils schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm (Ephesians 6:1012).

Author

James R. Read

At seventeen, James R. Read had seen no power or proof of God in church and chose the world of alcohol and drugs. His religion was rock and roll. God loved him enough to call one last time to turn from destruction. He did at thirty-one and has been serving Him ever since.

"Oh that men would praise the

    LORD for His goodness,

    And for His wonderful works

    to the children of men."

    Psalm 107:31

I thank you Father God, for sending the light of your Heavenly Son

into the midst of my earthly darkness.

I thank you my Jesus, I thank you for Calvary,

for your obedience to your Heavenly Father,

    your commitment to Golgotha,

your love that kept you on that old rugged cross.

I thank you Holy Spirit, for the inspirations you have brought my way,

and the power you have supplied

to stand against the attacks of the evil one – Satan.

My prayers for this book are:

    •   That all glory will be sent towards Heaven,

    •   Those in need of re-kindling their relationship with Jesus, will become inspired to do so and commit fully,

    •   Those lost souls who feel there is no hope, will be directed to these combined writings and come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and,

    •   All the warriors will become re-assured and those tired soldiers will become re-charged and ready to continue the battle.

CHRIST WAS NOT CRUCIFIED ON A RUBBER CROSS!

That Cross of crucifixion was not some puny little tree,

And was not a tree of transparency.

    It was full of life and thus brought forth as an instrument of death;

And those who were placed upon the branch,

    Hung until their last breath.

    That Man, the Christ,

Was not placed upon a rubber cross,

    Or even one of comfort.

And, was not shown the pleasures of a health resort.

Today, many people preach a rubber cross,

    One of comfort and ease.

And will run to the cross as they may please.

They feel that they can live their life as they want,

And that God will forgive them

Whenever their sins starts to haunt.

That spirit of rebellion, religion and pride,

    Only God can rearrange.

But people run to that cross,

Bounce off and return to reality with no change.

    Come to that real cross,

The one stained with the Blood of Christ,

And with pieces of flesh and strands of hair,

Belonging to the Savior, Jesus Christ.

A real cross, real pain, and a true love brought forth to view.

A real Man, a truthful and loving Man,

Hung on a real cross for you.
