I myself have had the privilege of attending graduate school at Loma Linda University, California, where I graduated with a double masters: one in nursing as a clinical nurse specialist in the growing family and one in public health, in health promotion. My current adventure is living in Hawaii and trying my hand at writing children’s books. Being a grandmother of five beautiful grandchildren and one on the way, I wanted to share some of my new adventures with them. What better way than to write through the eyes of a child? Currently, I am living in Hawaii with my husband, Tim, and experiencing the tropical beauty of living on an island. I wonder what my next great adventure will be.

Introduction

This is a story about Cammy, the red dot Gecko. She was born above the ceiling in the great room along with her twin brother, Bra. Cammy and Bra had a big family with lots of aunties and uncles and cousins. They had a very happy childhood and this book is about the many adventures that Cammy had while growing up.

You will meet Cammy’s Marmy (also called Makuakine); Cammy’s Da ( also called Makua Kane); her auntie (Anaki); her uncle (Anakala); her baby brothers and sisters (Pepes) and her Grand marm (Kapuna Wahini).

Cammy also makes friends with a bright red cardinal bird (called Red); a bushy tailed dog (called Kona); a green, yellow and orange bird (named Popeye) and other animals throughout the story.
