Love you Bro'

About this ebook
It has been nearly 3 years since my Brother Dino left this Earth for another place. After his passing I decided to immortalize him in print, and so was born ‘I LOVE YOU BRO’. It started off as a dedication to him and his growing up but it slowly grew into a book of stories and anecdotes about all of us, that is, the four of us siblings. It’s a humorous look at myself, my two sisters Mary and Doula and of course my brother Dino, growing up in a Cypriot environment in the UK. As an aside, all the pictures on the cover depict a story. It’s funny and uplifting and a fitting legacy to my much missed Brother.

Love you Bro' - Christopher Christodoulou
Introduction
I would like to dedicate this book to ALL my family, but mostly to my dear deceased brother Dino, who had a starring role in some of my funniest memories. Love you Bro’ x
The content of this book is a humorous look at true life events. It’s a compilation of nostalgic memories, anecdotes and observations from my youth, from as young as 8 years old. Obviously they will mean more to me than you, but I am sure you can relate to them, we were ALL young once
I am not sure if my family is mentally retarded, but some of the stories certainly point in that direction. Though some of them were not funny at the time, but I was having hysterics writing about them. I hope you do too reading them.
The first section in this book I have called, ‘Ridiculous things’. I have called it this, because as you read them, you will see just how ridiculous the stories are, ridiculous but TRUE. I cringed as I wrote some of them, but memories are made of this.
Happy reading.

The Christodoulous
You will need to know who we all are. We were 4 siblings plus Mum and Dad. In order of age, eldest first: Christakis, Maria, Costantinos, and Banayiotoula. These were our given Cypriot names. We soon changed/shortened them to, again in order, Chris or Taki, Mary, Dino or Dean and Doula.
Our Yiayia, (granny), brought us up so Mum and Dad could work. She was a huge figure of a woman, dressed from head to toe in Black, who ruled the roost with just her thundering voice. She decided to give us nicknames, which were just too funny to leave out, so again, in order, the nickname and explanation how we got them.
Chris = Vúgla
Sheep and Lambs have a very small stump of a tail, it is called a ‘Vúgla’, and no, it has nothing to do with my privates! Apparently, my trousers used to slide down my legs; much like the fashionable youth wears them today, on purpose! And because you could see the top of my bum, I earned the name, ‘Vúgla’.
Mary = Scroffa.
