About this ebook

God will not trust any of us with all the gifts and abilities required for all round victory; this will breed destructive pride. God does not only want us to depend on Him, but also to depend on one another. We are created to compliment one another. The Bible says clearly that as each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God (1Peter 4:10). This book shows you why and how to start prayer partnerships. Prayer partnership is not only for young believers; many mature intercessors and fronline ministers have been saved from costly mistakes and death by the revelations and inputs of their prayer partners. Every pastor or frontline minister needs personal intercessors, or a team, working closely with them. This book discusses the raising and operations of personal intercessors and how to do team ministry. The present spiritual landscape is difficult for lone-rangers to survive for too long; it takes common sense and humility to accept that you need help. This book discusses team ministry, with testimonies; and with details on church/land deliverance. The Church will gain huge victory when pastors and leaders would stop fighting one another and employ networking as a compulsory option in spiritual warfare. The author shares deep revelations on the principles of networking. Every intercessor or minister needs to read this book!!!

    FOREWORD

The subject of spiritual warfare will become increasingly more engaging to church leaders and ministers as God brings the church to her destined perfection. The simple reason for this is that the emerging glorious church will not allow the devil any hiding place, both within the church and in the world at large. The whole purpose of spiritual warfare is to destroy satanic strongholds within the church and thus empower believers to checkmate Satan’s activities in the world, through a lifestyle of holiness and obedience to the Lord.

The church has the prophetic mandate of God to pull down strongholds and every opposition against the knowledge of God on earth. No single individual believer, local assembly or denomination has all it will take to effectively substantiate this mandate. It will require the whole church working in synergy to accomplish the job.

The principle of synergy is presented in the scripture as being fundamental to the life and ministry of the church on earth (1 Corinthians 11-14). Regrettably, this is not so for now, as the spirit of independence and competition now dominates against the spirit of interdependence and complementality. For this reason, the church hardly functions as a body and this is the major reason for her weakness in the on-going battle against the forces of hell. This is the problem Evangelist Onyechi Daniel has most skillfully addressed in this book with respect to spiritual warfare.

Partnership, Teamwork and Networking in spiritual warfare is a book whose time has come. With uncommon insight into the subject, the author provides the missing link in spiritual warfare as is commonly understood and practised among Christians today. Discussing around three themes of Partnership in spiritual warfare, Team Work in spiritual warfare and Networking in spiritual warfare, he draws from his wealth of experience to make an otherwise complex subject understandable to his readers.

Evangelist Daniel writes as a spiritual warfare practitioner, with several years of field experience. This is a very useful book which many pastors and leaders will have cause to refer to from time to time. Reading through this book was a very educating experience to me. It is a ready resource material for students, bible college and seminary teachers, ministers of the gospel and Christian workers.

It is my pleasure to recommend Partnership, Teamwork and Networking in spiritual warfare to all who desire to see greater results in spiritual warfare.

    PART I

    PARTNERSHIP IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE

    1

IMPORTANCE OF PARTNERSHIP IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE

W hile we believe that most Christians engage in prayer warfare more as individuals, yet partnership in spiritual warfare is very desirable, and has great advantages.

When Jesus first sent out disciples to do spiritual warfare, He sent them out in pairs. "After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go . . . Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord even the demons are subject to us in your name’". (Luke 10:1 and 17). Thus it was our commanding officer, Jesus Christ, who instituted partnership in spiritual warfare.

For the purposes of spiritual warfare, two or more people can form a partnership. Sometimes the partnership may be temporary or spontaneous—when two or more believers come together to handle some issues in prayer warfare and thereafter disperse. At other times, the partnership is deliberate and sustained—with the group’s prayer time falling into a pattern agreed by the members. Which ever way it is, the group must take advantage of God’s provision for prayer agreement: Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. (Matt. 18:19).

The group must be assured of God’s presence with them, even if they are few: For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there in the midst of them. (Matt. 18:20).

For practical purposes, partners in spiritual warfare may be people living in the same house e.g. a husband and wife, or a brother and sister. They may be people living in the same neighborhood, working in the same establishment or belonging to the same Church or fellowship, etc. One of the greatest advantages of partnership in spiritual warfare is that while one person shall chase one thousand, two people shall put ten thousand of the enemies to flight (Deut.32: 30). This advantage cannot be worked out by arithmetical calculations—it is one of the mysteries of godliness. It must be mentioned, however, that this advantage in two or more people praying together is based on the assumption that they are praying in agreement (Matt. 18:19). Satan knows this and this is why he often fights the agreement factor. That is why it should not surprise us that people who come together to pray could end up having sharp disagreements. There might be differences in opinion on how the prayer topics should be handled to the extent that the agreement advantage is lost. This is a common tactic of the enemy because he knows that the Bible asks: Can two walk together unless they are agreed?. (Amos 3:3). We must not be ignorant of this device of the enemy. When we come together to pray we must avoid arguments and disagreements—no matter how trivial. We must be tolerant of each other’s views and win ourselves over with love. Large congregational prayers would achieve a lot more if everyone in the group is born again, have their minds in the prayers, and are actually opening their mouths to pray in agreement with
