Jesus said to believers: Occupy till I come. We are not expected to merely occupy our little corners, without caring about what happens in the larger society and in creation as a whole. God has put us as caretakers over the whole creation; having put all things under our feet, expecting us to exercise dominion over the works of His hands (Psalm.8: 6).

If we must live up to God’s expectation, we must graduate from merely praying narrow-minded, shopping list kind of prayers for our daily needs. It is true that the Lord Jesus taught us to pray for our daily bread, but He also taught us to pray: Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Luke 11:2). We must accept that it is the responsibility of the Church to enforce the will of God, and to demand that His kingdom is revealed in all strata of society and in creation at large. This we will do through effective intercession and strategic spiritual warfare.

To take on this responsibility, with the attendant blessings, the believer needs considerable knowledge to be effective and relevant to the economy of heaven. He also needs guidance on how to apply this knowledge, in practical terms, either as an individual or corporately with other believers. The believer is then able to free himself from the maze of satanic hindrances to attain the height that God has for him spiritually and materially. Deliverance can then be wrought over Churches, industries and public institutions, communities, nations, etc. The ground is then prepared for the great harvest of souls the coming years shall witness.

This book is my modest contribution to the body of knowledge already available to the Church, to achieve the objectives above.

The enemy has battled vigorously against the production of this book, causing quite some delay. At one time the Lord revealed an altar raised in a burial ground, and horns raised on land against this book. At another time, formations were made in the heavens against it. At yet another time the enemy employed tokens in a river against this book, as God revealed. Thanks be to God who has given us victory and made it possible for you to have this book in your hands. Preface to the International Edition

This edition retains the insightful and practical approach of the first, but now packaged and presented in such a way to meet international standards.

Some concepts have been revised and updated. The concluding parts of some of the testimonies have been given. Some new and related developments that arose since the publication of the first edition in 1999, have been discussed under ‘Notes,’ in italics.

The five chapters of the first edition have been broken down into twelve shorter chapters, for ease of reading and appreciation. I am very grateful to Dr. Steve Ogan for editing this edition and to Miss Josephine Nna for doing the typesetting.

The enemy vigorously fought against the production of this edition. At one time the manuscript completely disappeared from the computer system. We believe that the Lord who gave us victory will teach your hands afresh to war as you read this book.

I have known the author of this book, Onyechi Daniel, for the past twenty-three years. He is a man who has remained faithful according to the progressive degree of light he has received from God’s hand over the years.

I do recommend this book as a handbook for the militant and praying Church.

It will be of immense help for all who read this book to also belong to a corporate prayer network that cuts across denominational and ethnic boundaries. Of particular interest in these days of the ‘bread and fish gospel’ will be the section on the ‘wilderness walk’. Between the promise and the promised land there is always a wilderness. The section on ‘testimonies’ is a living-proof that the actual battles of life are fought and won in the spirit. I do hope that all the Christian leaders who read this book will begin to solicit the help of many personal intercessors.

Knowledge Brings Victory

Victory

Through Knowledge

G od created the earth and made it a perfect place. Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good (Gen.1: 31). By God’s initial arrangement, dominion over the whole earth was given to Man (Gen.1: 26-30). But Man (Adam) fell into sin as he was lured by Satan. Satan then took over dominion of the whole earth from Man—he therefore became the god of this world (2Cor.4:4, KJV). Because of Man’s disobedience to God, and Satan’s part to it, God made pronouncements against the serpent, man and the earth. To the serpent God said:

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel (Gen.3: 15).

Thus, the battle line was drawn—the stage for spiritual warfare was set. Man is going to be in constant conflict with Satan. From the same scripture of Genesis 3:15, the only hope for Man is the Seed of the woman—JESUS CHRIST. Only through Him can Man hope to bruise the head of the serpent.

As we have said, God gave Man dominion. The terms of this dominion are glorious, and this is aptly described in Psalm 8:3-6 (emphasis mine).

"When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honour. You
