About this ebook

Finding hope and strength when everything appears stacked against you can seem to be an impossible task. What do you do when adversity strikes?

For author Darla Rosser, life had been difficult almost from the beginning. In Well Meet Again, she tells of her dysfunctional childhood, including a mother who took out her frustration on her children. As an adult, Rosser entered an unsuccessful marriage and was eventually faced with the trials of being a single parent. And when three of her five children were diagnosed with progressive disabilities that would take each of their lives, it was almost more than she could bear. Yet with Gods love and encouragement, her familys love for each other, and a supportive new husband, Rosser and her family survived through these dramatic and tragic events.

Life happens; tragedy happens. Well Meet Again shows what is important is ones reactions to those events. Through Gods guidance, Rosser and her family came through these painful events. Their God-given strength can help you find inspiration and courage when tragedy befalls you.

I WANT TO THANK KAREN Johnson and her brother, Brett Seifried for their endless hours of organizing my thoughts and providing proper wording, corrections of spelling, rewriting my thoughts to be concise, organized and readable. Sandy Ridgeway, (Karen and Brett’s Mother) Karen, Brett and I spent a lot of time together remembering experiences that were so hard for me to talk about and lots of crying when I did. Sandy and I have been friends since we were 10 or 11. I say 10, she says 11, at any rate it has been 65 or 66 years. Sandy is the one person who knew me inside out and every step of what my family and I went through. She was the person I could confide in when things went bad and when they turned good. She helped me all my life and led me to become a born again Christian. We went to elementary, junior high school and senior high school together. I thank my daughters, Cindy and Becky for also helping me with wording, reading and rereading my book to help make it better.

I thank the Ridgeway, Seifried and Johnson families for doing without their loved ones for many hours and days while they were helping me rewrite, reorganize and categorize my thoughts.

I thank those who read my book in the making, making suggestions and taking the time to read it. There were actually too many to mention.

Last of all and not least of all was my husband, Ron, and my children for bearing with me while I did many hours of writing, rewriting, remembering the times when we were all together. They also took care of our home and the children at home while I was away at the hospital. When this was all going on they kept everyone fed and dressed at home and made our household run smoothly through all the turmoil. I have questioned them all extensively for their memories.

I thank the doctors, specialists, and nurses who cared for my children for many surgeries and periods of recovery. I especially thank Dr. George Fatula for the wonderful care he gave to our children and to us. We think of him as a precious friend.

My church family who were always supportive and helped to provide money for us all to go to Disney World, I owe a debt of gratitude. I also want to thank the people of the community who were so generous to help make Disney World happen, and Disney World who made the experience perfect!

    Introduction

SCARS STILL REMAIN AND RAISE their ugly heads on occasion even now, many years after they occurred as a youngster. Thinking I had gotten out of that when I married, I found I had not. I did have God to rely on though. I had 5 children, bringing real delight. However, our family faced real heartbreak when we had to watch 3 of them suffer through an extremely progressive disease, ravishing their bodies and decreasing their abilities. God brought a new husband, supportive and wonderful to the children. This story spans many years
