Samuel Joseph Blair was known as Sammy to some, Samuel to others, Uncle Sammy to yet others, and Dr. Blair or even Brother Blair to many, many others. But to author Wipey and her sisters, he was Uncle. In My Experiences of a Great Man, Wipey pays tribute to this man who played an important role in her life.

In this memoir, she discusses her uncles life---His birth in 1928, his early years, his education, his family, his failing health, his eventual death, and the great impact he had on others.

Writing as a way of coping and healing after Uncles death, Wipey narrates the lessons she gleaned from him about living a life to the fullest, sharing love, and helping others in big and small ways. Yvonne Pamela Morris, formerly Yvonne Pamela Wilson was born in British Guiana, South America, to parents of African descendants. Before migrating to the USA in 2000, she was an auditor and an educator for a number of years. She now resides in Fort Washington, Maryland.
