Blaming Japhy Rider: the Email Chronicles

The emails in this volume chronicle and document some of the story presented in the memoir. There are perhaps one hundred or so more, which may be added in later editions or a separate volume. The earlier emails demonstrate a far weaker, far less studied experienced relationship to the topics discussed in the book. Those in this volume are a good example of the later emails.

There is also a second project by the author with a similar set of email chronicles. This is TaxTheRichDotName email series and reflects the authors involvement in recent political efforts to redress the current distribution of wealth in the country.

Philip A. Bralich has a PhD in linguistics. He spent many years teaching ESL and essay and research writing. I’ve always thought of Shambhala as a Kingdom within a democracy sort of a thing, but I believe many daydream of a time when Shambhalians, even those here in America, are living under the rule of the Rigden King without a democracy doing the real governing.

Step Wise — A Poem

This is kind of a poem, but more of a review sheet I made to review the steps to the realization of Mahamudra. The only addition I have made from my personal experience is the view of step wiseness to the exercises. Mahamudra fans might find this a useful review sheet as well, so I decided to post it. Naturally as these are Kagyu notes, mahamudra transmission makes it easier.

Step Wise.

One-Pointedness: Mundane Consciousness analyzes itself

Brahman’s thread without first learning tightening and loosening is not possible. Loosening the string around a sheaf of straw is not possible without the Brahman’s thread. Gazing like a child at smoke and fireflies is not possible without first loosening the string. Preceding like an elephant pricked by thorn is not possible without gazing like a child at smoke and fireflies.

Simplicity 1: Supramundane Consciousness

The elephant pricked by thorns is itself the supramundane consciousness. It is the union of the moving and non-moving. Without knowing the moving and non-moving, they cannot be analyzed. Looking at the moving and non-moving, like 2 sticks rubbed together, they consume themselves in the supramundane The intellect, that which looks on, is not separate from the moving, the non-moving or their union.

Simplicity 2: Supramundane Consciousness analyzes the mundane

Knowing the 3 times do not exist is not possible without the elephant pricked by thorns. Knowing that birth, death and time do not exist is not possible without knowing the 3 times do not exist. Knowing

Inspiring Read! Highly Recommended!Blaming Japhy Rider is an inspiring book that can show all readers how not to give up. Philip A. Bralich shares his story of loss, struggle, and triumph in his new book. Bralich shares his worst times and best times and also shares his spiritual evolution through Eastern religion practices and ideas. Easy to follow and understand, this work is emotional, inspiring, and truly an enjoyable read.

Review: Blaming Japhy Rider was a very interesting memoir; full of emotion, heartbreak, triumph and inspiration. Philip A. Bralich's spiritual and psychological journey was supplemented with content influenced by the most prolific writers of the "Beat Generation", particularly Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg. I was surprised by how much I learned from his surroundings and experiences, especially his fight with PTSD, a disorder that is misunderstood even in today's society. The story was well-written, had a median-pace, and was highly affective. Philip's "character" was anything but boring, and his story was one that I will definitely recommend to friends and readers.Rating: Bounty's Out (3.5/5)*** I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
