The author is a woman born and raised in the South Bronx of New York City. Her religious experiences as a small child were attending Friday night séances.   Both her parents and grandparents were believers and involved in “Mesa Blanca”, which is “White Table” spiritualism. They were considered witches of white magic and some were healers. Her experiences were both frightening and life changing. She thought her parents were schizophrenic until she began to experience the paranormal herself. This drove her into the world of Haitian Voodoo and away from the white magic realm. Today, she is a well known Medium, baptized in the 21 divisions of Voodoo, Santeria and Palo. Introduction

This book tells you a number of short paranormal stories from my personal experiences. These experiences include my childhood, adolescent and adult life experiences (and the group got baptized into the Séances.)? Also known as the first 21 divisions of- Haitian Voodoo, or as they are called in the Caribbean, the spirits of the water. They are pretty good spirits; however, not all spirits are good and not all is as it seems.

When I was a little girl my parents would take me to séances weekly. I grew up thinking my parents and the rest of the adults involved in the séances were all schizophrenic; so, I didn’t pay too much attention to them. I just thought they were all crazy. Every Friday was laced with séances amid women and men screaming, yelling and always attacking someone. The classic séances from the movies are a farce. Séances are just not like that, not in the Caribbean type of séances.

I never took my parents involvement in the paranormal too seriously until my adult life. If you asked me in those days if I believed in spirits, I would have said no. Today I would have a very different response, I have to say that without a doubt, yes I do believe. I have experienced too many paranormal incidents to think ghost/spirits don’t exist. The paranormal is a phenomenon that no one can explain. I can only say that they do exist from seeing and experiencing it.

You may be a nonbeliever when you begin to read these stories, however, I can assure you, by the time you have read at least 3 stories you will begin to question what you believed in all of your life. Entities, spirits and ghosts are all very different and you would be astonished as to how they can appear, and how they can harm a living person.

Enjoy my experiences and remember these are true stories that have occurred within the past 50 years to present. While enjoying the stories, you can feel assured that you will not be attacked since the stories are just written on the paper and you are actually not experiencing them yourself.

It is because I know how they can hurt the living. I have seen spirits physically hurt people and lift them up and throw them, this is one of the reasons why I am conscious when I deal with them. As you will also by the time you finish reading these accounts. Throughout the years I have learned how to protect myself, if you are wise, you will do the same.

Levels of Entities:

Iget upset when I hear people say, Oh I heard that house is haunted, I wish I can go and see the ghost. That is the dumbest statement I have ever heard, ghosts are not a joke and they do not appear to simply entertain, they are hurting and need help. The last thing you need when you are in pain or confused is to have people look at you and take your situation as a joke; well, that is how the ghost feels, that is why they will get angry when people invade their space. Remember, that is all they have. If you are going to do a ghost investigation, remember to do it if you have the skills to help the ghost and not as a night of entertainment.

Now let me explain what the names mean in the spiritualist world. There are levels of energies; the levels are not as simple as you would think. Each level has a number of steps and sublevels; so, when I speak of levels please remember that there are sublevels in between each level.

In each level the entities appear differently. The closer they are to the earthly level, (which by the way is the darkest and lowest level), the more they will appear humanly. Example: the closer they are to the earthy levels, the more will appear like they did when they were alive; the further up in the levels, the less earthy attraction and connection they have and they will lose their earthly looks and appear as orbs.

Orbs are said to be any kind of spirit, even a ghost; however, the truth is that an orb is an entity that has lost all its earthy connection and therefore is a purer energy with no form, i.e. round orbs, a ball in a bright color, usually blue or yellow. Angels, guardian angels will appear as orbs at times.

The top energy, depending on your religious beliefs, can be called angels, or saints. They only come down when they have a very important message from God; they do not come down because your relative that died has something to say to you. These angels are not your guardian angels. The angels work for God and will come down very rarely. Example, when they needed to inform Noah, the angel came to him to inform him of the floods; or when the angel came down to Mary to let her know she was having a baby. Those are the types of messages they deliver, not that you father misses you.

The next level below (we are going down) are the Guardian angels. They are assigned to each person born. They will be with you all of your life. You can pray to them, call them and ask them to help you. They are also what we call the head of your head. Meaning, your head is where you find and communicate your spirituality. We each have a number of spirit guides. These spirit guides are like children and need to be taught and controlled.

The head of these guides is your guardian angel. These are called entities. They have very little earthy connections. However since they have to teach the spirits, they will represent an earthy religious image such as a saint. The guardian angel helps teach them. You must be aware of these energies in order for you to help them achieve their purification and move on. Once again, depending on the religious background of the person, these guardian angels are called by different names - such as; in Voodoo they are Loas, in Santeria / Lucumi they are Santos, in Catholicism they are simply called angels. The person is considered the child of the particular saint or loa. In Santeria they will have particular names such as Ochun, Yemaya, Chango, Obatala, etc. These are names of African Loas. In Voodoo, you can have the Baron of the cemetery - a male loas everyone respects and is afraid of. He can be your guardian angel. Now, he is known, in other religions as Oya, a female energy, who is also respected and fearful. The Saints/loas are the only ones allowed to be guardian angels. It is thought that they have been educated and can teach other energies. It is also said that the attributes that these energies have are passed on to you based on your likes, dislikes and behavior. Like for example, Chango children, they usually have a bad temper and fight a lot. They also have a scar on their right arm from a fight. This is a Chango’s scar. Where as a child of Yemaya, a person has a lot of children, and a children of Ochun, are flirts and love jewelry. As your guardian angels, you can speak to them anytime and call on them anytime. Actually, you can work with them when you need to get something done spiritually.

The next level below the guardian angels is the level of the Spirit guides. They can appear as Orbs. They come from all walks of life. They can be Indians, slaves, doctors, etc. These are disincarnated spirits that need to purify and have been assigned to a person that has the gift of being psychic. The hope is that these spirits will help the living person psychically, to help others. In turn, the guides will get light for each person that is helped.

It is a cycle. You are the medium / mediator. These are spirits. They still have some earthy attachments. These are still guides and they tell you things to help the living. You tell the living what they need to do, and you help them. In turn your guides will get light and eventually move on. These guides still have earthy bonds so they like to possess things, such as Gypsies, they like tarot cards. The person that has one of those guides will be very interested in the tarot cards; since there are so many different types of tarot cards, your guide will tell you by an overwhelming feeling, that you need to buy a particular set of tarot cards or a crystal ball. Or an Indian guide that insist on having a smoking pipe made from corncob for the sweetness. Then again, we have those that love alcohol and will not work unless you offer them rum and a cigar such as Ellegua, or the Baron.

The lowest level is the darkest level. This level has a few different entities. These entities are called ghosts. Some are confused, others just refuse to leave the living, and still others are what we call the lost souls. They roam /wander the streets at night trying to find victims to torture and annoy. These entities are totally earth bound; they still have all of their earthy connections and attributes. They go in and out of our lives. They are the ones that haunt places. Some will find a home that has a spiritual light and they will get into it. They will adapt a place and act as if it is theirs.

They are the ones that if you go to the haunted house for an investigation, you can leave with one of them simply because they are not bound to anything. They really don’t belong in that place so they can follow you and torment you. Another name for them is lost souls. They roam around at midnight through the streets. If you want to see ghosts, don’t go to a cemetery night or day, the ghosts are not there. You can see them in churches, any holy or religious place looking for light and to be saved. However, the longer they time spent on earth without their body, the more confused they get.

As they become so confused they become darker and less purified. When these ghosts appear to people they will try to appear holy. This is why they will appear with a light around them in the beginning; however, after a moment or so, their aura will begin to show their true colors. Instead of the light they first displayed, the light becomes dingy and the clothes are displayed as tattered and dirty. Finally, the kind face can become a monstrous face with fangs as teeth. They may even appear as a relative, or someone you knew that passed on. Once it has you paralyzed, it will show its true colors. Be very careful, these spirits do not understand light nor do they want it. They enjoy scaring and torturing people. The secret to dealing with these types of ghost is not
