About this ebook

God is always good. God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. So why do people ask the question, If God is so good, why does he allow evil to happen to people? Of course, most people ask this question rhetorically. The answer is quite simple. We are free! We have the freedom to do anything we want, even if and when consequences follow. So if we steal and we are caught, we reap the consequences of that action. Likewise, if we study Gods rulebook and apply the principles and promises therein, we will reap the positive results of our freedom of choice. We are the most blessed people on Earth if we choose to be. Gods forgiveness, health, and prosperity become ours when we believe Gods Word.

Author

Lonnie

Lonnie and Vicki Nelson have had a passion for studying God’s Word since the mid-1970s. In 1981, they moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where they continued teaching God’s awesome truth of salvation by the Lord Jesus Christ and sharing the love of God with His people. They believe that God’s Word is the God-breathed truth and that the Bible is a practical “how-to” book written to help God’s people live the great, abundant life that Jesus Christ promised in John 10:10.

The God and Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ stands first and foremost in receiving our thankfulness, gratitude and worship for allowing us to learn His Word in regard to His blessings to His people.

We would also like to thank Samuel Nelson, Amber Nelson and Nelda Whynot for their love, support and help with this endeavor.

    Introduction

From God’s perspective, prosperity includes health, abundance, peace, joy, forgiveness and believing and trust toward God.

Throughout the history of God’s Word, God’s people are shown to be the most blessed people on earth. Men and women such as Hannah, Ruth, Mary, Lydia, Debra, David, Solomon, Zacchaesus, Joseph, Boaz, and Joshua, just to name a few, have had wealth, peace, fellowship with God and lived and enjoyed life to the fullest more than any other people on earth.

One of the greatest healing truths of God’s Word is His forgiveness. Knowing and believing in your heart that you are completely forgiven by God relieves and alleviates guilt, condemnation, unworthiness and sin-consciousness. To be blessed by God is to have peace and fellowship with Him. All these things are part of God’s prosperity.

The Most Blessed People On Earth will help you prosper in every category of life.

    Chapter One

    God’s Image of You

God gave Jesus Christ many titles. He is called the Messiah, Savior, the Christ, the Sacrificial Lamb, Redeemer, Lord of Lords, King of Kings just to name a few. The relationship between God and man depended upon the accomplishments of Jesus Christ. Christ speaking the words It is finished, while hanging on the cross was the catalyst that made becoming a son of God by birth possible. Fifty days later, on the day of Pentecost, people got born again as they were filled with the holy spirit and spoke in tongues for the first time. That is still God’s primary will for his kids when they get born again. God has always wanted companionship. He wanted a family. He wanted children who would live with Him forever and that is why He planned our redemption through Jesus Christ. All of this was done so that you and I could be His children.

The only worthwhile estimation, portrait or picture of yourself to carry in your mind is God’s image of you. No one holds a more esteemed image of you than God. It’s far greater than any portrait you could mentally paint of yourself. God paints who we really are on the canvas of His word. We are His sons and daughters. Making us His children is the greatest thing God ever did for us. We are children of the Almighty God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. We are sons and daughters of the God and Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We have the highest title or position a man or woman could be exalted to. In God’s eyes the kings, queens, princes, presidents, nobility or any other position, title or rank of this world do not even approach that of a son of the Most High God. It may not appear to the world what and who we are yet, but it is still the truth of God’s Word. Although, we sometimes break fellowship with our Father, our standing before God is always one of being his son.

Being God’s son entitles you to all the benefits and privileges that come with that name. God tells us all about our entitlements, advantages and birthrights in His Word. Nothing builds self-image, self-esteem and helps a person like the Word of God. It’s the truth of God that makes a person free-free to live love. God’s truth gives you mental peace and abundance. When God’s Word is believed, we are healed in body, soul and mind. No therapist, psychiatrist, counselor or psychologist could help you like the help that you receive being a son of God who knows his Father. Let’s look at the image God has of us though his eyes which we find in His Word.

    I John 3:1 & 2

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

God has bestowed an unfathomable amount of love upon us. However, the world will never recognize or give you any acclaim for who you are in God’s eyes. Even though the greatest part of who we are is yet to come, we are sons of God right now and we can carry the mind picture of ourselves that God does.

Let’s look at some of the wonderful things God does for His people and some of the amazing promises God makes in His Word that we can claim. Job was a believing man of God. Look what God taught him.

    Job 12:3

But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?

Too many of us allow society to dictate to us who we are, where we can go and what we can do. You are not inferior to anyone else. You are not at the mercy of your environment. We do not have to accept the constrictive restraints that the world tries to place on us. We do not have to allow people to put us in a box. We are not lower or less important than anyone else. God’s son is the best thing you will ever be. I often say you can’t top what God has done for me. I am God’s son and I have eternal life! Can you top or do better than that? We undervalue who God has made us to be, and overprice who the world says we are. With God all things are possible and you can accomplish anything according to God’s Word.

    Exodus 14:14

The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Those people did not let others steal their peace. How can you lose with God fighting for you? No matter how big the monsters of your mind are, God is greater. He is the one that fights for you. Try this exercise. Imagine some fictitious being in your mind. Do your worst: you know claws, fangs, whatever powerful being you can dream up. Now imagine God, the Almighty Creator of the heavens, stars, universes and galaxies. That little gremlin that you made up in your mind is a pathetic, imaginary weakling compared to God! God is REAL!

    I John 4:4

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

You have overcome the world and all the negatives in it. You just have to claim it and live it. We have the spirit of God within us. It’s Christ in you. You have a lot of power in you.

    Ephesians 1:19

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.

God did not throw this verse in His Word because He thought, Oh yeah, exceeding greatness, that sounds really good. God put this promise in His word for His children to read, believe and claim! It’s in the unleashing of our believing that we see the power of God. Take the muzzle off your believing. The people in God’s Word manifested their believing with signs, miracles and wonders. We are equipped to live that power manifested today. We are His children.

    Mark 9:23

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

This is a promise and it is a truth that God has given us. The principle of believing directs and determines your life more than anything else. When fear in your soul tells you that you cannot believe God, then believe God anyway and shut its mouth and silence its voice. The only loss you could have in light of this verse is just being afraid to live it.

What value does God put on you? With God, cost of item equals value of item. It cost God His only begotten son to save you and make you His son. That’s the value we have to God. We are eternally sons of God. God only made one of you. You are so unique and beautiful in God’s eyes that He wants only one of you. Open your spiritual eyes and see yourself like God sees you.

    Psalm 29:11

The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

The Lord will give you strength for whatever you need. Paul said he learned to be abased and to abound. Paul learned how to be blessed and live whether he had little or much. And it’s a great lesson to learn in living. However, In light of all of the promises in God’s Word, little of our lives should be abased. We ought to be abounding so that our need is met and we have plenty to give. We don’t have to succumb to poverty. Don’t quit and just settle for the crumbs of the world. God makes winners! The adversary makes losers. What you manifest by your believing will determine your outcome.

God will absolutely give us strength. That’s mental toughness. The people in the Word that did great things for God were mentally tough. It was the Word of God that gave them that mental strength to accomplish whatever needed to be done.

    Psalm 147:3

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

God is the great healer of broken hearts. When your heart is broken, crushed and shattered in pieces, God said He will bind up that wound. God is the One you want mending and working on your heart. God takes care of people like no other. In believing we get our healing.

    John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The world talks of peace while continually arming itself for war. There is no peace in the world or inner peace without Jesus Christ, the Prince of peace. He alone can give peace. Living the peace that God gives us through Jesus Christ is how God imagines us to be. It God’s picture of how our lives are to be. This is God’s representation of us. This is God’s visual impression of how we are to be on the inside. People should see our lives and think we are an emulation of this verse. This is not just God’s concept of us, it is His will for our lives. God’s Word is God’s will for our lives.

    Romans 5:1

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

God is at peace with us. God is not huffing and puffing at you. God is not snapping and barking at you. His wrath is not hot and kindled toward you! He’s not yelling at you, telling you that you have to do better. The concept of God as a wrathful, vengeful God comes from the adversary. The devil seeks to destroy our relationship with God by painting Him as an unforgiving, contemptible god. In no way does this idea come from God. God is not finding fault with us or blaming us for our sin or short-comings. God loves us. He made us and He knew full well how we would be. Just changing your thinking about Who and how God is will change your life. Change your mental imagine of God to the loving, kind Father that He is and then change your mental image of yourself. We have entirely too many fearful thoughts of what others think of us. Love yourself and stop it. It’s what God thinks of you that’s matters.

    Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

God is love, not sometimes, all the time. It says in Corinthians that the love of God thinks no evil. That means that the love of God thinks no evil of God, yourself or others. God does not have ANY evil thoughts about you-ever, never. Now, that’s someone I want to spend time with and be around. God’s thoughts of us are of peace. The word peace is used 429 times in the King James Version. Do you think God wants us to have some? This word peace means: exempt from rage and conflict, harmony and concord with God and self. We have nothing to fear from our Father. God is the Author of peace and there is no other place it comes from. Peace is the absence of conflict in our souls.

God does not want us afraid, or fearful of Him. I just do not understand why people want us to think of God as Someone who makes us tremble in fear before Him. Our minds and hearts are to be peaceful and at rest. God has called us to peace and made us worthy of peace. The ultimate peace with God comes in our intimate relationship with Him. Those believers in the Word and the believers of today know that. With that fellowship with God comes the absence of inner strife-you are untroubled and undisturbed. Knowing you are forgiven brings great peace. We are disposed to peace. When you have peace you are free from alarm, agitation and dreadful emotions.

(A side note regarding men who lack peace … Some women claim men have a kind of menstrual period also. I’ll let you in on a little secret. About a year ago some male doctors found out that it was true. Thank God it was male doctors and it got buried asunder. I hear there are some female doctors on the hunt for this fact. Keep praying men, God has kept it a secret thus far. You know a merry heart doeth good like a medicine!)

Back to the end of that wonderful verse… The words, an expected end is a figure of speech called hendiadys which is two words used, but one thing meant. It could be said, an end which I have caused you to hope for. The Old Testament believers’ hope was the first coming of the Messiah. Today, our greatest hope is eternal life with Christ’s return. However, God also wants us to have hopes and dreams in this life. And, God wants those dreams fulfilled.

You will never find what you are looking for in this life until you open the door of God’s Word. It’s the only place you willfind God’s heart and blessing for your life. You won’t find the therapy that God’s Word gives you anywhere else.

The world is not a positive or uplifting place. Our culture and environment has had a negative effect on all of us. However, we do not have to be at the mercy of the world or held captive by what it thinks it sees in us. The world is perpetually trying to make you something you are not. You are what GOD SAYS YOU ARE! The most important viewpoint you can have of yourself is God’s view. The devil’s or other people’s opinions of your life should surely not become yours. Of course, there are those who are truly helping you grow and you should heed their advice. The heart of this chapter is for you to see all that God has made you and wants for you by being His son. Nobody wants more for you than He does. He wants us to continue raising our level of expectation from Him. Look at what He did for all the people in His Word.

God has made us able to live the following verse. Are we willing?

    Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

We are who God says we are. We can do what God says we can do. What limits can you put on walking with God? We can expect
