About this ebook
Sidney Nixon
Sidney Richard Nixon was born in Adelaide, South Australia, on July 11, 1942, to a working-class family. He is one of eight children who were the product of his mother’s three marriages. The only guardian he knew was his stepfather, his mother’s second husband. His natural father left home when he was eighteen months old, a man he never met until he was eighteen years old. He left school at fourteen, worked as a jackaroo on a sheep station, completed an apprenticeship as a shipwright, and traveled the world. He was blessed with a very retentive memory, allowing him to remember incidents when he was only eighteen months old! Throughout his life, this memory has proved invaluable to him, as a child growing up and during his adult years. The stories he writes are taken from actual experiences in his life as he believes that real life is stranger and more interesting than fiction. His books on animals, birds, and people will be enjoyed by all ages. Soon to be released are the following: Curley the Cockatoo Bert the Budgie Flossie the Dog Sally the Horse
