Famous five on a mission
I like to think I’m a fairly safe driver, but I fully admit that I quite frequently lose concentration because I am too busy looking at rabbits, most recently when I was heading down my friend Ben’s farm drive. Whatever time of day it is, there are almost always white tails darting down the hedgerow. No wonder, it is a gnarly, thorny old thing. Ugly to look at but a haven for wildlife, especially of the long-eared variety.
In recent years, the rabbits on Ben’s farm have been left to their own devices and, boy, do they make hay.
It is always refreshing to sit and watch some bothersome bunnies frolicking in the winter sun, but enough was enough. This meadow was intended for a flock of Beltexes,
