About this ebook

Meditations and Musings is a collection of poems and thoughts written over the last few years (with the Holy Spirits guiding).

It is an insight into the strengths and struggles of a Christians life, be it thanksgiving, blessings, grief, the wonders of nature, assurance of salvation, the holiness of God, depression, trials and tribulations, rededication, and with a slight emphasis on the elderly and problems of Alzheimers disease.

The hundred or so poems and thoughts are short and easy to read. They were written with the hope they will be a blessing and a comfort to the reader.

Author

Linda M. Forehand

Linda began writing in 2005, after she and her husband moved to North Carolina to care for her husband’s elderly parents. Her poems and writings became a release from the stresses that come from caring for people with Alzheimer’s, and she felt the Lord’s leading her to leave these writings for her loved ones and friends. Linda and her husband have two married daughters and live on the coast of North Carolina. They’re members of an independent Baptist church in Beaufort, North Carolina.

    Preface

The primary purpose for publishing my meditations and musings is to leave my descendants something of import that may affect the quality of their lives, now and eternally. It’s truly a record of my latter years—a time when I finally wised up and came to grips with what really matters and its impact on me.

My prayer is that all who read this collection of poems will benefit in some way from its words.

    Always There

    The poems You give—so precious.

    The thoughts instilled—so right.

My thanks, Lord, for using me

To cite Your love and might.

You show Your love and faithfulness

    As life’s trials I embrace.
