About this ebook

Not all About Me?
August 1st, 2011

Move into position
The words that are calling on me
Asking for permission
To assembly
To teach the heart
What needs to be learned
Instruct the mind
What needs to be discerned
Guide souls
Gods eternal kingdom to be earned
What.?
You mean this is not all about me?
God says:
Aaah yes, my child
The right question has finally been asked
You are a vessel
Used for this task
To help others see
The beauty within
That originated with Me
Look past their immediate
Like I ask of you
See the richness inside
Blessings to inherit if they choose
Give up
What they are trying to hold on too
Their way
Dont look at it
As something they have to loose
My Way
Direction they can not refuse
The hearts of men
Turn back to Me
Discover your true worth
Discover true beauty
Discover the reason you were created to be
No
Its not about you
Its for My Glory
Put your heart on display
Many
Are not willing to do
Pour out till you are empty
Allow Me to finish filling you
With the five steps to faith
You have the information
I have instilled in you
Read My Word
Comprehend what I require you to do
Study My Word
My Way will be revealed to you
Put into action
The goodness of God you have learned
Do all these things
Manifestation
Yours to earn
True faith
You ask
I say
Trust and believe
Stay focused and obedient
You shall receive
Count your past
And your present
As blessing to touch many
You are right, my child
Its not about you
Its all for My Glory
For it gives Me great pleasure to bless
Those who know
They belong to Me

Mary Debnam

Ms. Mary Marie Debnam was born August 13th, 1969 in Portland, OR. Her greatest accomplishment was bringing her son Xavier into this world and raising him to be a loving and responsible young man. Even though he does not know this, Mary often thinks of her son as her “Sunshine”, because he brings light and balance into her life. For the last fourteen years, Mary has been employed with the United States Postal Service, and in the last five years, in Vancouver, WA as a window clerk. Though sometimes a challenge, Mary is faithful to her post everyday, greeting each customer with a smile and attitude of gratitude. Along with serving the public, Mary also serves in hospitality and on the finance committee of her church, Rehoboth World Healing Center, Portland, OR. Although serving brings her great satisfaction, Mary has found her passion in writing. She credits only God for giving her this awesome gift to express creativity with words. Mary’s prayer is that someone’s life will be changed because they saw themselves in her poetry. Strengthening them, to be able to let go and allow God to have total control. If God can do it for her, He can definitely do it for others. Fasten your seatbelts; you are in for a rollercoaster ride…..Enjoy! “I’m taking you from shame to fame So many in this world just like you I need to show them, they can make it if they allow me to Guide them through Speak the language they have been speaking Expose the wrong they have been wreaking Give the answers they have been seeking Present the life they have been peeking Into Lead them directly to Me Your mission to pursue”

    One She Loves

    MARCH 3RD, 2011

FROM A WOMAN THAT NEEDS NO INTRODUCTION

    SPOT LIGHT COMES ON

TO FIND HER CRADLING THE MICROPHONE WITH TWO HANDS

    HER EYES ARE CLOSED

PICTURING THE WORDS THAT ARE IN HER MIND

MELLOW SOUNDS OF HEAVY BASS JAZZ

    FILL THE PLACE

    SHE PARTS HER LIPS

    CALM

    SILKY RIBBON VOICE

IN THIS ROOM DOES SHE GRACE

SHARING WITH THE ONES SHE LOVE

    A STORY ABOUT THE MAN

    THAT LOVES HER

    THROUGH ALL HER MESS

    ALL HER TESTS

    TRIALS

HEADING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION FOR MILES

    BROKENESS

    BITTERNESS

    UNFORGIVENESS ON FILE

    YET

    THROUGH IT ALL

    HE SEES . . . HER

    LOVES HER

    UNCONDITIONALLY

LIKE NO OTHER LOVE COULD EVER

    NO OTHER LOVE HAS NEVER

    DISCOVERED

    THIS BEAUTY

    THAT’S INSIDE

    A BEAUTY

    THAT CAN’T BE DENIED

    A BEAUTY

SHE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW WAS THERE

    CAUGHT UP

    IN WHAT DIDN’T SEEM FAIR

    WHAT SOMEONE ELSE GOT

    WHAT SHE HAS

    WHAT SHE HAS NOT

WHAT SHE THOUGHT SHOULD HAVE BEEN

    ASKING

    HERS IS COMING . . . WHEN?

BLINDED BY THE THINGS SHE CAN SEE

    NOT DEEMING HERSELF AS

    WORTHY

ALL THE MISTAKES IN HER PAST

    WEARING THEM ON HER SLEEVE

    RUNNING AWAY

FROM THE LOVE SHE SHOULD CLEAVE

    TO

    ONLY SOMETIMES WANTING TO

    HAVING COMMITMENT

    ISSUES

    BECAUSE THE ONES SHE LOVED

    ALWAYS LEAVING HER

    IS WHAT THEY WOULD DO

    LOOSING LOVE

    IS ALL SHE KNEW

BUT THE ONE THAT LOVES HER

    IS PATIENT

    KIND

    GENTLE

    ALWAYS ON TIME

    NEVER LEFT HER ALONE

    WAS ALWAYS RIGHT THERE

    TO CATCH THE TEARS

    OF ALL HER CARES

    WHEN THINGS WERE GOOD

AND WHEN THINGS WERE TO MUCH TO bear

    SHE STOPS

OPENS HER EYES TO THE SIGHT OF A DARK ROOM

LOOKING INTO EYES THAT SEE HER SOUL

TRANSPARENT TO THE ONES SHE LOVE

    SHARED WITH THEM A STORY

ABOUT THE ONE THAT LOVES HER

    REALIZING

    THE ONE THAT LOVES HER

IS THE ONE SHE HAS FALLEN IN LOVE

    WITH

ACCOLADES GIVEN WITH UP SNAPPING FINGERS

    SPOT LIGHT dims

    THE MUSIC STOPS

    CAN’T BE WITHOUT HIM

    STAY RIGHT BESIDE HIM

HOLD ON TO THE ONE SHE LOVES

    All i really need

    MAY 31ST, 2010

    REALLY

YOU ARE ALL I NEED TO GET BY

    I CAN COUNT ON YOU

    YOU ARE FAITHFUL AND TRUE

    YOU HOLD ME

    YOU KEEP ME

    YOU CARRY ME THROUGH

    GOD

WHAT WOULD I DO WITHOUT YOU

    I WOULD BE LOST

    LONELY

STUCK TO THE DEVIL LIKE GLUE

YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT’S NEVER LEFT

IN THE END I KNOW THAT YOU KNOW BEST

YOU MAY NOT COME WHEN I WANT YOU

BUT YOU ARE ALWAYS ON TIME

THERE’S NO GREATER LOVE I COULD EVER FIND

YOU WOKE ME UP THIS MORNING

    CLOTHED IN MY RIGHT MIND

YOU GAVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE TO PROVE MY LOVE

WAKING ME UP WAS THE SIGN

    I LOVE YOU LORD

    WITH ALL MY HEART

    YOU LOVED ON ME

    RIGHT FROM THE START

    YOU’VE PROTECTED

    LOVED

    GAVE ME MERCY AND GRACE

YOUR KINDNESS CAN NEVER BE REPLACED

    THAT’S WHY I SAY

    REALLY

YOU ARE ALL I NEED TO GET BY

    YOU HAVE ORDERED MY STEPS

    ’TILL THE DAY I DIE

    Almost Don’t count

    April 19th, 2011

    The Lord is my shepherd

    I shall not want

    For anything

    He leads me

    Guides me

    Protects me

    From the wolf

    Eagerly awaiting for me

    Almost strayed away

Almost fell for the blood kiss of death

From a lost love high mount

    Almost

    Went over the edge

    But

    Almost don’t count

    Pulled me back in

With the hook of His staff

    In the wrong direction

    I was starting to travel

    Called me back

    With His tender mercies

    Peacefully

    He restores my soul

    Sat me down

    In a restful place

    Presenting the gifts before me

Though there will be obstacles to face

    I am comforted in knowing

God is with me all the days of my life

For the Lord is my Good Shepherd

He keeps me from the edge of the high mount

The old place where I have always jumped or almost slipped

    But praise be to God

    Almost

    Don’t count

    Alone

    MARCH 23RD, 2011

HE LEFT MY MOM AND ME

    FOR REASONS BEYOND MY COMPREHENSION

    AND MY BELIEF

    YOUNG SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD BOY

    DOING deeds OF A MAN

AFFECTED MY LIFE IN WAYS I DIDN’T UNDERSTAND

THE TYPE OF MEN I ATTRACTED

    I CHOSE

    I LOVED

    WHAT I EXPECTED

    WHAT I WANTED FROM THEM

THE WAY I GAVE TO THEM

    JUST BECAUSE

    NEVER WANTED THEM TO GO

BUT ALWAYS EXPECTED THEM TO LEAVE

DUDE AFTER DUDE TO COVER MY WOUNDS

BUT NOT ENOUGH TIME IN BETWEEN

    TO HEAL AND BEREAVE

I’D GIVE THEM EVERYTHING I HAD

    LOVED THEM HARD

    GAVE MY WHOLE HEART

HOPING EACH TIME WOULD BE DIFFERENT

    BUT KNEW IT WOULDN’T BE

    RIGHT FROM THE START

BUT WHEN THE LAST ONE DIED

    I HAD A WAKE-UP CALL

YOUR’E GIVING YOUR LOVE TO MEN

THAT ARE NOT WORTH YOUR TIME AT ALL

SETTLING FOR MEN I THOUGHT I COULD HELP

    OR FIX

    GAMBLING WITH MY LIFE

    MY HEART

    TAKING BIG RISKS

JUST DIDN’T WANT TO BE ALONE

HAD TO BE SEXED BY THEM

    RECEIVE VALIDATION FROM THEM

COME LIVE WITH ME IN MY HOME

ALL BECAUSE A SMALL PLACE IN MY HEART WAS LEFT UNHEALED

    UNSATISFIED

    DENIED

    LEFT OPEN TO RECEIVE LIES

MY DADDY LEFT MY MOM AND ME

    ALONE

    MY HEART CRIES

    GOD SAYS:

HE DIDN’T LEAVE YOU BECAUSE HE DIDN’T LOVE YOU

    HE LEFT

    BECAUSE HE WAS YOUNG

    SELFISH

    SELF-CENTERED

    AND DIDN’T KNOW WHAT ELSE
