Angel-Heart Garrison

Ramona Haswell (aka, Angel-heart Garrison) is a writer of non-denominational, non-fictional, Christian manuscripts, reference books and poetry; journalizing and compiling her thoughts, dreams and visions from her youth. She has been copyrighting her written “works” since the miraculous healing of her 3-year old daughter in 1983; and continues to also write under her pseudonym. Her manuscripts, books & card line are quite diverse but are her distinct self-portrait from a spiritual perspective. In 1992 God gave her the name under which to operate in her purpose as Author Angel-heart Garrison to distinguish her from her birth and married names; and gave her one of her first of many poems, “Angels in Disguise”. Her pseudonym is an incorporation of terms: “Angel”, “heart”, and “garrison”. From this name, birthed her home-based business, A-hG Productions which was later re-organized and licensed as a Consulting Service, A-hG Company, and Angel-heart Publications which was initially implemented as the source through which she would self-publish. Ramona Haswell is the Founder & Visionary of ANGEL-HEART GARRISON MINISTRIES, “A Domestic Missionary Ministry & Lighthouse of Prayer” and she walks under the Scribal Anointing of Prophetess & Teacher; and is an Intercessory Prayer Warrior. Using her own personal experiences, through excerpts from her works and/or workshops & conferences, she administers what she believes to be the heart of compassion, love, mercy and comfort from the Lord through the vehicle of the didactic. The picture of the ‘dark horse’ that is found in most of her writings is symbolic of the dreams and visions that she has had since her childhood. She has interpreted this as her calling in life: to eliminate gray areas and get to the black and white of issues using truth as one of the major weapons in this spiritual warfare aware that the latter rains (as described in Joel 2:4) are upon us. Under her pseudonym, “Angel-heart Garrison” has been a free-lance writer for ministry newsletters since 1991 and in her valley’s local newspapers since 1997. She has won awards and acclaims for her poetry writings. She is also the publisher and editor of “Highways & Hedges” Newsletter which has been in distribution since 1998. Ramona Haswell was born in Detroit, MI and raised in Millington, TN. Yet she has been a residence of Southern California since 1971. She is married; has 1 married son in the navy and a 1 daughter who also lives in Southern California.

With love and respect to, and in honor and memory of my grandfather, Daddy, the (late) Reverend Esic Rhodes, Sr., (1911-2006) who lived in the perfect will of God as Patriarch of his family and Priest of his household as he assumed responsibility to raise up a Christian Family. He personally ensured that each of his children were rooted and grounded in the Word and built their individual homes on the Rock. And, published in Memory of his wife and helpmeet, my Madea, (the late) Mrs. Lavern Johnson-Rhodes who gave up her life on this earth (1912-1986) only after she was sure that all her children’s branches abided in the Vine. First, I give my highest Thanks and Praise to God the Father, and the Lord, Jesus Christ for loving me so much that He planned a ‘way out’ for me even before I was born. Thank you, Lord for sending warriors to intercede on my behalf. For without the diligent, fervent prayers of my righteous grandmother, Bernice Clark and Aunt Denotra (of Denotra Johnson Ministries) and my many family and friends, I would have surely lost Kenya. And God sat me at the table of television ministries, where I began to eat the meat of the word through Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Fred Price, Marilyn Hickey, Larry Lea, (the late) Kenneth Hagin, Sr. and other faith-centered ministries like them. God fed me until I was fat!¹ I managed to hear these ministers solely through the obedience of Paul and Jan Crouch, through (TBN) Trinity Broadcasting Network starting from my daughter’s hospital bedside. That television stayed constantly on the word.

I am most grateful to Paul and Jan Crouch, who through their obedience, I was able to turn my television set to Trinity Broadcasting Network, TBN2, and receive ministering when I could not get to church, from my daughters’ hospital bed, and from my hotel room. I am most grateful for their obedience to the Lord to give up their personal plan and allow God’s Plan in their purpose to lead them places in the airwaves in a way that no one had ever ventured to go before.

To my children’s babysitter, the late, Edith Ruth Moore, who patiently and fervently went through fevers and viruses with me.

Introduction

As the hands of time slowly tick from one year to the next, the person that I used to be fades deeper and deeper into my subconscious. It is difficult over time to remember the old me. It is not so much that I can’t, with effort, remember; it’s that the old me is so insignificant now that I know what I know and am in Christ who I am.
