The title The Power of Repentance and Faith is a reflection of my new birth in Christ. The Lord touched my heart spiritually, speaking to write a book about my life as an unredeemed sinner before I received saving faith (salvation in Christ) and then to let the world know how this all came about for me. This is how I got the title of my book; it is from what I went through as an unredeemed person and to also present to those who will read this book how the Lord Jesus Christ manifested His amazing saving power upon my life, and it was from repenting from my heart to the Lord of everything that I have ever done wrong in my life meaning (my sins as a sinner) and crying out for help, which I desperately needed at that time of my life and to trust that He will come to my rescue to save and deliver me from that dark lifestyle that I once lived. Truly, I tell you, with being a witness, repentance and faith in Christ and what He has already done at Calvary's cross will release such an amazing power to come upon your life. I say to you all today--are you ready for a new life? Have you been searching for help? Are you ready for change? If you answered yes to any of these questions, I encourage you to let this book be an inspiration and a great pattern to apply to your life, and Jesus Christ will be your change Agent.

This book is dedicated to every person who ever felt like no one cares about them because of wrong choices and decisions, which led to an ungodly lifestyle that was not pleasing to God; and because of your ungodly lifestyle, whatever that might be for you, that lifestyle drove you farther away from God/Jesus Christ, where you ended up alone, lost, and/or confused about your life, in a place by yourself, meaning there was no one that could truly help you out of that specific place or problem in your life. Only the true and living God, the God of "Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob'' (Matthew 22:23 KJV) can release divine power from heaven to help or deliver one from that physical or spiritual condition and the sinful condition within mankind's physical nature. That truly does separate one from God spiritually and his beautiful heavenly presence. This book is dedicated to the one that fits this description and specially dedicated to my dear mother, Felicia Johnson-Cobb, who taught me about repentance and introduced me to Jesus Christ.

Introduction

I would first like to give a special thank-you to everyone who has and will purchase this book, and I prayed in advance to our heavenly Father on behalf of you all that He will open your minds and hearts to understand how especially important it is to learn about and apply true biblical repentance to your everyday lives and the divine blessing that comes from genuine repentance and faith in the almighty God, for this is the main purpose of this book, to inspire other human beings that repentance and faith is essential—according to Strong's (2001), the Greek transliteration of our English word faith is pistis, which is a noun (the usage of the word pertains to one's faith, belief, trust, confidence; fidelity and faithfulness)—and with being part of fallen humankind and for one to be able to receive genuine salvation and enter the kingdom of God.
