A lawmakers campaign promise over a glass of water led to a three-year struggle with athletic and education associations that lobbied at the state capitol. Lisa Arceri

Lisa Arceri lives in Metairie, Louisiana, with her husband, Chris, and their three sons: Hozana, Israel, and Justice. She and her husband have homeschooled their sons for more than a dozen years. Before this story, Lisa had no experience with politics and a limited experience with sports. It was her experiences with God that prepared her to face political opposition. Lisa has found herself in places of trust many times since she trusted Jesus with her life in 1979. She hopes her story will inspire others to trust in the sovereignty and faithfulness of God in their own lives.
