About this ebook
Joi C. Spencer
New author excited and eager to help parents discuss with their children and develop safety precautions against bullying and fondling. The intent of this book is to help those that suffer with depression from issues like: bullying, fondling, gangs and skin allergies. To begin the best therapy is to tell some one that it happen and get counseling to teach you how to cope better in life. The next step is to realize you can not change your past, but you can change your future and impact the future of others in a positive way. Turning negative situations into positive outcomes is what the book is about. I am a 45-year-old African American woman that encourages females to become healthier in three ways. That includes your nutritional, physical and mental health. I grew up on the west side of Detroit Michigan attended schools in Highland Park Michigan for Kindergarten and Detroit Public Schools 1st-12th grades. I am the youngest of seven female siblings with one being deceased. I attended Oakland University and University of Phoenix and acquired a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Management. I have mentor young people from grades K-12 since 1992. I am the mother of one darling daughter and have many other young girls that refer to me as Auntie, Mom or Mommy and I welcome it. The first book I am writing is MY LIFE STORY being told from third person and most of the characters are not named other than the main character. This book was written to help those that may struggle with depression due to things that occurred during their childhood. Part of being healthy consist of total fitness inside and outside. Depression can change your habits to over eating or not eating enough and sleeping problems. We all have triggers or vices that may effect us in a negative way; however I am here to encourage you to turn that energy into positive energy by loving yourself and never give up! There was no way to write or recall every year of my life; therefore the decision was made to write about every three to four years of my life starting at the age of three years old and covering four decades. This first book is geared to adolescence and their parents. There are two scriptures from the Bible used in this book. This book is not just for Christians, but for all parents and their children that are adolescence. During your reading you will laugh, dance, cry and say, “I remember that.” The first book surrounds growing up in Detroit Michigan and makes mention of different department stores, theaters, mayors, the different presidents in office and popular music during certain era’s. Music was actually very therapeutic and helped the author gain an appreciation for the late Marvin Gaye’s song ‘Just like Music’.

PREFACE
My story is told in the third person, and most of the characters are not named. This book was written to help those of you who struggle with depression due to things that occurred during your childhood. I am here to encourage you to never give up! There is no way I could have covered every year of my life, so I decided to write in intervals of three to four years, starting when I was three and covering four decades. I use two scriptures from the Bible, but this book is not just for Christians; it’s for all parents and their adolescent children. As you read, you will laugh, dance, cry, and say, I remember that.
In the first book, I talk about growing up in Detroit, Michigan; I mention different department stores, theaters, the mayors and presidents who held office, and the music that was popular at the time. Music was actually very therapeutic; I gained an appreciation for the late Marvin Gaye’s song Just like Music.
The first book in this series was created for children ages eight to thirteen and their parents. The purpose is to help parents and their children feel comfortable talking about staying Free from Fondling
and molestation. The intent is to teach children the difference between good touching and bad touching. For
