His life was changed for the better that day, because his brush with death gave his life a new urgency and meaning. Aware now of how precious each day on this earth is, he began to explore his creative side. Before you read this you should get a tissue,

I’ve spent my life looking for someone like you.

Now that I’ve met you,

I promise that I’ll never cheat or lie to you.

Unlike other guys,

I like you for what you’ve got inside,

that I won’t deny.

I really think you’re funny,

But your personality,

Is what got me interested in you, Missy.

Before I met you I was lonely,

Now I feel great because of you, honey.

Before we met, sometimes I was down,

I’ve been happier since you came around.

Everything that I say,

Is from the heart of Jay,

As if you couldn’t tell by now, I can’t hide my feelings for you anymore,

Because you’re definitely not like anyone that I’ve ever met before.

About you I do care,

I’ll never worry about what you look like or wear.

Since I gave you the first poem that day,

If you did I’d lose my mind,

You’re the kind of person that I’ve got only one chance to find.

After our conversation the first time,

I’ve hoped that you’d be a friend of mine.

Overall I really think that you’re very nice, funny and kind,

If I ever do become your man,

I promise that I’ll always treat you the best that I can,

I’ll also help you as much as I can.

I still can’t believe what happened a week ago,

I met a girl that I’m enjoying getting to know.

Your first email gave me your phone number,

I decided to text her.

On Thanksgiving night I called her,

We had a very long conversation together,

That’s when we learned that we had lots of stuff in common with each other.

I always look forward to getting texts from her,

I also love talking to her.

I never thought that I’d meet someone like you,

Because for me it’s a dream come true.

Overall I think you’re really sweet,

I can’t wait until the day that we get to meet.

A day before Thanksgiving,

I met a girl who was very interesting.

I keep thinking,

Of poems for her that I’m writing.

I’ll always consider that a very special day,

Because that’s when I met a girl who’s perfect in every way.

I mean everything to you that I say,

Everything that I write to you is from the heart of Jay,

I also like you more every day.

One of the many things is true,

I am starting to love you.

There’s one thing about me that I’ve got to change, buddy,

That’s my clothes, buddy,

This I can promise to you,

That I’ll always be the best man for you,

Who will always be true.

I’ll always be the sweet, caring, kind and wonderful guy,

Toward you and that’s not a lie.

As I’m writing you this,

I’m sitting in my room,

Meeting you has granted one of my biggest wishes,

You’re about to consume.

This morning when you said that you loved,

Both of the poems that I wrote for you,

Gave me the greatest feeling,

Of being loved.

I’ll admit that I like writing you poems more than any of the previous girls,

Unlike all of them,

You’re a genuine person.

You’re better than the girl of my dreams,

That’s how it seems,

I think that you were an angel brought down from the sky,

For this guy.

Even if I have a real bad day at work,

Toward you I promise that I’ll never be a jerk.

You remind me of my favorite flower,

Because you’re not like any other.

I can’t thank you enough for being a friend of this brother.

Girls have come and gone,

I’ll admit that I love writing you these songs.

I’ve never met anyone like you ever before,

Everyday I’m liking you more.

I’ve written a ton of love poems,

But you’re the first person,

For sure,

Who told me that my poems warm your heart.

Now and forever you’ll always have a big part,

Belonging to you from my heart.

Unlike a lot of other guys,

I read that while I was at my job,

That made my heart throb.

Who inspired me to write a poem.
