    ABOUT THE AUTHOR

    Introduction

What is the kingdom of heaven like? The Biblical parable of The Sower, tells us that the kingdom of heaven is like a man who prepares and plants a field and sows good seed but while men were sleeping his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. (Mat 13:24-26)

Like the sower in this parable, God sowed good seeds when He created the light, heaven and earth, fishes of the sea, birds of the air, cattle, beasts and creeping things, man and woman. His enemy has sown weeds, both are growing together.

The following quoted passages are from the Old and the New Testaments of the RSV and/ or the KJV of the Bible, as so indicated. Since parables are earthly stories with heavenly meanings this Editor, searches selected passages for patterns and parallels within the word of God, to aid in a better understanding of Gods’ word and its applicability.

This project is an outgrowth of ongoing study and an earlier work of this Editor. Increased faith has revealed that whatever mankind will ever need (as compared to what mankind thinks s/he wants) has been provided for and the answer to all of our problems is in the Bible.

God reveals His secrets to His own, making Disciples of all nations." Act 28:19

    Adam’s Lament

    Once I had it all

    but little did I know

    of tricks and trickery

    of fleshly woes.

My father gave me my instructions

    a rather simple command

    Leave that tree alone

    in time you’ll understand.

    While tending to our chores

a Serpent walked up to woman

    and started a conversation

    about the forbidden tree.

    She knew it was forbidden

to eat of this tree, yet

the Serpent spun his deceitful tale

    while she listened carefully.

    What she thought was intriguing

    developed into a snare

    as the Serpent’s tempting story

    tweaked her hidden desires.

His eyes were big and beautiful.

    His skin a glistening hue.

    She decided to believe him.

    Why? I’m not too sure.

    As her desire increased

    the Serpent laid it on

    leading her step by step

until she did what he wanted.

    We knew nothing of nakedness

until we ate of that tree.

Because I did not subdue it

    we are no longer free.

    We’re not in Gods’ presence.

    He evicted us from Eden.

    We became ugly as sin

    unfit for God to see.

    I hurt God deeply

by turning my back to Him.

I could have told her No way

for I had the final decision.

I chose to disobey my Father

    without thinking of the cost.

    I listened to the woman

    and dis-graced
