Chapter 1
WHEN I CAME HOME from the hospital after my heart attack, Susan (my oldest daughter) picked up my medication. We got home and she wrote down (in big letters for me to see) which pill to take at what time. It was all very confusing. I had to take 3 pills when I woke up. At dinner, I had to take 2 more. At bedtime, another one and I could not just pick any bottle and take any 3 pills or 2 pills. I had to get them right. Susan wrote in big letters on a piece of paper their names and then put a rubber band around each to hold it. Anyway, Susan wrote this all down then watched me while I tried to follow what she wrote. I tried! I really did, but I just became more confused and frustrated and, finally I told her I wasn’t takin’ any pills. Didn’t need them before and I got along all right up until now. Don’t want to live forever
