Please note that I said AN ENJOYABLE 10 YEARS. I believe that we can all agree that life without some form of enjoyment is not worth living. After all, I want to enjoy the presence of other people, especially my grandkids and great grandkids. Their occasional presence is an absolute delight.

    Introduction

    HOW WOULD YOU like to add an extra 10 years to your life??? An enjoyable 10 years? It is now possible with health and life approaches discussed in this book. And if 10 years is acceptable to you, how about 15 years? 20 years? Or 50 years?

    I am personally looking forward to my next 20 years. And at the end of that 20 years, I now plan to enjoy another 20 years. And another 20. Would you like to join me? I am personally looking forward to what the future will bring. And this means that I have high hopes for the future. Again, care to join me?

    To achieve these health benefits, you will probably need to change your life style, perhaps drastically in some cases. For example, if you smoke, then quit. Right now.

    The human race is in for some radical changes in the next 50 years, and most of them will be good for us; we will look back then and like what we see. We are in for a literal explosion in human abilities. We will be smarter, be healthier, live longer, be very much kinder to our neighbors, and be much more aware of our surroundings and its limitless possibilities. And I see this coming due to the cumulative effects of several major characteristics that are evident now, but which have not been explored in this context.

    This book is my honest look at what your future might hold. I discuss the medical and life changing impacts on your future. There will be some things familiar to you, and probably some new things. It just might give you a new direction, a new approach, or a different way of looking at things, and hopefully resulting in a better, longer, and more healthful life. I therefore wish you a mostly disease-free, longer, and more healthful life.

    This book is applicable to all ages. The elder generation can use this advice to retrieve what health they should have had and live the rest of their life, possibly many years longer than they would have otherwise. The middle generation can use it to eliminate many illnesses that otherwise would have incapacitated them, thus allowing them to live joyfully much longer. The current younger generation can use this to avoid illnesses along the way to growing old, and therefore will live longer. I believe that this group can expect to live past 100, and thoroughly enjoy that life past 90. And those still to be born will grow up with habits and nutrition that will naturally let them live past 100, with many of them going to 120 and beyond. I have seen one report that projects the human life span to 150 by 2050. Read on! Enjoy!

    Abnormally Normal

    Looking back at my life, I have recently thought,

    That it seems I’ve been caught in a web I’ve not wrought.

    Some unfriendly old fiend has been running the show—

    I could only stop short, when I wanted to go;

    Or the inverse of this, like some idiot swap,

    I could only keep mov’n when I wanted to stop.

    After a week of hard work, with much more as the trend,

    I was primed for relaxing and fun at the end;

    Friday night all these plans were upset rather much—

    My wife hinted at painting, yard work and such.

    For my favorite program I’d waited all week,

    But at my favorite last Friday, there wasn’t a peek;

    The announcement was made with a voice so genial—

    Ladies and Gentlemen, the Friday Special!

    Disenchanted with streets, with their drivers so deft,

    With their circles and signals and cars turning left,

    I thought maybe the freeway was the home route that’s fast—

    But the traffic on that road just left me aghast!

    I came home from work tired, just wanting to sit

    With a good ice-cold beer and relax for a bit;

    Disillusionment, though, settled in mighty swift—

    Oh, Lord! It’s her birthday—I don’t have a gift!

    For two weeks I had dreaded that monthly due date—

    At long last, I resigned to my miserable fate.

    The bills had to be paid—I began that sad chore—

    Then a so-called good friend sauntered in from next door.

    In the hectic preparation for dinner for eight,

    The neighborhood gossip dropped in and stayed late,

    Until I was convinced it had gone much too far,

    And that friend should be spelled by omitting the R.

    There are times when I wonder at odd things like these,

    Whether I’ve been afflicted by Job’s non-disease.

    But if others could analyze, probe, and then judge

    My life as it has been, the grandeur and sludge,

    Then report it, I think their conclusion I’d know—

    That I seem more than ever like Tom, Dick, and Joe.

    Chapter 1

    Medical Supplements

    WOULDN’T IT BE wonderful to have good health all the time? To not worry about colds or flu or any other diseases that might be going around? To know that, short of some fatal disease or accident, we had the expectation of living past 90? Or 105 (in a very few years)? Or 150 (by 2050)?

    There are many things you can do for yourself to enhance your health and therefore your enjoyment of life, and also extend the enjoyable portion of your life. The more you can assume of the responsibilities for your future, the better off you will be. And isn’t a longer, more healthy, and more enjoyable life worth setting as a major goal?

    One way you probably need to change your life style is that you need to take medical supplements, defined as non-prescription medication. You cannot get everything you need for a nominal, healthy life from diet alone, and prescriptions are given to fix existing problems. Which means you need to become a pill popper if you are not already. And if you presently cannot take pills, then learn how; practice makes perfect. To be healthy, happy, and with it in life, pills are in your future; all the supplements needed cannot be obtained
