About this ebook

Ben and his sisters had no idea that two teenagers trespassed onto their property. The intruders were mesmerized when they saw Bens younger sister ordering the birds and ducks to fly her to the pond. These flying creatures grabbed her clothes with their beaks and bills and elevated her high up in the air. Could this place be haunted? the teens wondered.
How do the children get these animals to obey them? How was this girl able to get the birds and ducks to lift her up into the air and fly away with her?
After having sworn the children to secrecy, Uncle Dave showed them his underground laboratories. He explained how snow, rain, and hail are formed. The siblings had fun playing in the labs. They made snow people in the Snow Lab and they experienced zero gravity in the Zero Gravity Lab. The intruders discovered the secret labs and managed to sneak in. They almost froze in the Snow Lab and nearly drowned when a storm developed in the Ocean Lab. Why is there snow, a beach, an ocean, and a real tropical rain forest in Uncle Daves basement? The answer to these questions, plus many educational and moral lessons can all be discovered in this unique place called Magic Farm.

    Preface

In a little town in the state of Florida, there is a special farm. It is big and it is beautiful. Everything on this farm appears to be normal at first glance—but this is a very unique farm. On special days, you might notice magical rain falling down on this farm. Flowers, oranges, and apples suddenly become bigger and more beautiful when touched by this rain. The magical rain leaves behind huge rainbows. Showers of rain people tumble down these rainbows. The rain people laugh and play as they jump on the crops and flowers. The wind is magical on this farm, too, and so is the sun. Special insects and animals live on this land. There are horses, spiders, butterflies, birds, ducks, and other one-of-a kind creatures on this farm. The insects and animals have super powers. They are the most intelligent and powerful creatures in the world. Because everything on this farm is magical, the children who live there named it Magic Farm.

    CHAPTER 1

    Crystal Flies to the Pond

One boring Saturday morning, Ben and his two sisters went out to play. They expected to do a little swimming and have fun playing with their farm pets. The children did not know that today they would get to see, for the first time, the mysterious world existing in the basement of their uncle’s log cabin. They had no idea that two strangers had trespassed onto their property to take some fruit. These strangers would eventually find out about the super powers of the Magic Farm animals. The intruders would try to steal some of these magical creatures. Ben and his sisters never could have imagined the scary, exciting, and funny situations they’d find themselves in when they found the two teens on their property and in their uncle’s secret lab. As Ben and his sisters went out to play, they never could have guessed that this boring Saturday would become exciting and full of adventure.

What do you want to do? I’m bored, said Ben, addressing his sisters. He kicked small stones as he and his sisters walked down the path that led to the lake.

Ana’s face lit up. Let’s have a race she suggested. I just know I can beat Ben, she thought. After all, I am a year older, even though we’re about the same height. Ana had a competitive nature and she loved to race. When she didn’t win, she’d get pretty upset. Ana didn’t realize that it’s wonderful to compete and come in first, but when we don’t win, we can also enjoy the fun of the sport, and interacting with others.

Okay, the last one to the duck pond is a rotten egg, Ben said.

Oh, Okay, Crystal said. She was Ana and Ben’s younger sister. Crystal didn’t really think she had any chance of winning this race, but she reluctantly agreed to it anyway.

Get on your mark, get set go! ordered Ana. Ana and Ben ran toward the duck pond. Crystal did not run. She knew she was shorter than her brother and sister.

Since they have longer legs, they can run faster, she mumbled to herself. What can I do? I know, I must think! It’s time to put on my invisible thinking cap and figure out what to do.

Crystal sat under a nearby tree and thought for a few minutes. As she thought, she looked up and saw birds standing on the branches. She saw colorful butterflies and other flying insects, too. Suddenly Crystal knew what she had to do.

Well, she said to herself. Ben said that the last one to the duck pond is a rotten egg. He didn’t say we had to run. So I think I’ll get there first without running.

Crystal started to whistle. Suddenly all the birds came down from all the trees. The birds, butterflies and other flying insects were all flying around Crystal. Music was made from the sounds of chirping birds, buzzing bees and humming insects. Crystal could feel a nice breeze over her body as the birds and all the flying insects flapped their wings around her. She did not notice the two intruders who were hiding behind the big apple trees. She could not see the surprised expression on the teenagers’ faces, as they watched all the flying insects suddenly stop their activities and fly around Crystal. Crystal started flapping her arms up and down as if they were wings.

Fly me to the pond! she ordered.

She flapped her arms and pointed toward the pond. The birds grabbed parts of Crystal’s blouse and pants with their beaks. The ducks grabbed her clothes with their bills. They flapped their wings. Suddenly, the ducks and birds helped to elevate Crystal into the air. The butterflies, ladybugs, dragonflies, and other flying insects created a nice breeze that pushed Crystal up higher and higher. Crystal was being raised up into the air and she was being flown over to the pond. Yes! Up I go, up to the sky! she shouted. The two intruders couldn’t believe their eyes. They could see Crystal flying with her arms stretched out. She was moving her arms slowly
