Ever since I was a child, I have always loved animals and writing. These two passions could not have come together in a better way than in my first children's book: Animals In Our World: A - Z. Poetry seems to come to me naturally, and I find it the easiest format in which to write. I love a good story, whether fact or fiction, and I love to capture a person's imagination in a way where they can visualize the words on the page and see the story come to life in their mind. Whether 4-line stanzas, sonnets, or spoken word format, I hope my poetry will take you through twists and turns you may not have seen coming.

    Abbey Albatross Asks About Acorns

    Abbey was an albatross;

    A big and beautiful bird.

Albatrosses live in the Southern Pacific,

    in case you haven’t heard.

Abbey likes to eat fish and

other animals she finds in the sea.

She flies up high, then swoops down low,

her vision as keen as can be.

    With her sharp, pointy beak

    or her three webbed toes,

she’s quite the expert at catching dinner,

    in case you didn’t know.

    One day Abbey Albatross

    saw an acorn tree

    with a happy little squirrel

who was having quite the feast.

    He seemed to be delighted

    in his tiny little meal.

So, Abbey flew down and perched on a branch

to see what was the deal.

She said, "My name is Abbey Albatross,

and I couldn’t help but see

you have this tiny little thing

    that you’re about to eat."

"Well hello Abbey. My name is Skipper Squirrel.

    How do you do?

This is an acorn. I love to eat acorns.
