    Please, careful with that one... is fragile, I said to my friend Hanna as she picked up one of her boxes off the floor and carried it out.

    I couldn't believe that my 5-year relationship was now over. I saw it coming, I just refused to accept the truth about it. It had been falling apart for a while and well... I kind of expected it.

    Derek and I met when I was a sophomore in college. It was in a crazy party at his frat house when I first saw him, I wanted to have fun by then and he was this crazy party boy everyone loved. My life was basically starting out when we got together. He was a senior about to graduate and I was just experimenting the whole campus lifestyle. We used to have so much fun together then, but then he graduated, and started looking for a job, and I was still trying to hold on to our old party life.

    As time passed by he got more serious about things, I guess he really wanted to save our relationship when he asked me to move in with him. I gladly accepted. In no time I had all of my stuff in his flat. It was OK in the beginning; the experience of living together was new for both of us. But the truth is that we were just delaying the inevitable.

    One day I went to visit him in his office, I made some sandwiches and I was hoping we could have lunch together in the park.
