(Disclaimer: This is NOT the original book, but an unofficial summary.)
Mankind is undoubtedly one interesting species. We have managed to overcome and even come up with solutions to major world problems like famine, plague, and war. This book Homo Deus discusses the evolution of man over the years; from simple-minded beings who believed in God to intelligent man who questions God's existence and would rather rely on Science and data computation to get their answers.

"History began when humans invented gods, and will end when humans become gods." – Yuval Noah Harari
Homo Deus tells us of the journey throughout man's quest for power as they attempt to become more godlike, and the reasons behind why they could accomplish so much. Humankind has always thought of themselves as more superior than the other species and believed that their existence has great meaning and meant for a higher purpose.
P.S. Open your eyes and mind as you learn more about our own species – mankind. As we read along, Homo Deus will make us ponder – Are we really that great as we think? Are we bettering ourselves, or self-destructing?

Reviews for Summary of Homo Deus
10 ratings4 reviews
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5First I loved the book. I heard a ton of new facts. Assuming they are all true, I gave the book five stars. But then some time passed and I was thinking. And the more I was thinking, the more I saw how wrong the author was on every topic on which I know a little. And now I am also doubting the facts that I know little about.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Frighteningly fascinating! Yuval Harrari writes in a straight talk no bs style with crystal clear logic and a examples to back up his theory. He emphasizes that this book is by no means an apocalyptic prophecy about the future but describes many possibilities so if we don't like it we can do something about it. Not a day go by ever since I read this book over last xmas break that I don't think about this book and what does it mean for me and my little baby's future.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Nice summary of the follow up of the next series of Yuval Noah Harari books. Well summarised with the main points bolded and underline which is useful when reading on a phone
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The book contains a prodigious amount of fascinating information on where humanity has been and where it is going which is presented in a quick-paced, lucid narrative. Well worth reading even if you come away not totally convinced.
