"A recent study suggests that 75 percent of the weight-loss response in obesity is predicted by insulin levels. Not willpower. Not caloric intake. Not peer support or peer pressure. Not exercise. Just insulin." – Jason Fung
Many diets just focus on "eating right" but Dr. Jason Fung considers that's not the only significant factor, his method consists of intermittent fasting to break the cycle of insulin resistance (which is the most important factor in weight loss) and reach a healthy weight. Dr. Jason Fung stresses that there are a lot of misconceptions surrounding weight loss and because people don't have the basics down, they struggle when dieting.
P.S. The Obesity Code is an extremely helpful book that will help you lose weight for real and for good.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Like changing science-based information, presented in a way that is easily understood by anyone.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5If you are fat and can't lose weight this book will tell you the exact reason why everyone gets fat. The short answer is insulin. I lost over 70 pounds on this diet without exercise. In fact the only reason I went for walks was out of boredom. I have no worry of gaining the weight back because this book tells you the secret as to why everyone gets fat. Jenny Craig and weight watchers do not want you to know this.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Brilliant !!!

It has meant a total transformation for me - in the three months since reading it, I have lost 30 lbs, got much of my energy back and brain fog is nearly gone. As an added benefit, my fibromyalgia pain has decreased as well. Please do yourself a big favor - read the book. Read it and you'll see what I mean.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5it appears to be the most detailed look at how insulin or resistance causes obesity. Probably the best book on the truth and facts regarding the subject
