The Earth is dying, awakening the elementals from the slumber is the only way to save it. Wyatt Nolan brings the Elemental Earth back into reality, she is not a human but has the power to save the Earth. Terra unites the four Elementals together to battle the dark magic.

Dark witches enslave the humans and poison the Earth keeping the Elementals weak as the Earth continues to die. Bringing the magic realms together, they use the last gateway to battle for the Earth survival. The Earth is the gateway that connects the realms and if it dies all will die.

Terra finds that her life was a lie and she was trapped in the human world for centuries. Wyatt releases her from the curse, so she may become the Elemental of Earth once again.

Terra rejoins her sisters Adrianna, the Elemental of Water, Seraphina the Elemental of Fire, and Venillia the Elemental of Air. Together they have the power of all the elements and can battle the Dark Witch Desdemona.

Joining with the Queen of the Faye, Prince of Elves, dwarves, and humans, the journey takes you their worlds to find the fates and reclaim their true destinies.

Loving literature and the adventure a good book can take you inspired me as a young child to be an avid reader. As I grew older I played with poetry finding unique ways to send messages that were dear to me. As an adult, my messages have become less dark and more concerned. My first series of books are short novelettes about the Elementals and the destruction of the Earth. The mistreatment of the Earth and its inhabitants are something that I hold dear to me. Recognizing everyone is unique but should be allowed to express themselves.  The fantasy realms help me leave the world we live in, and adventure in one we would only dream of.   The adventures I write are a combination of my dreams and beliefs brought to life. I had worked in manufacturing most of my life and had been downsized several times. I went on to college received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Programs and am now a Buyer/Planner by day and Fantasy write by night. Writing started out as a way to express and vent about the trials of life. It has grown to be a way to share with others who want to get away from the stress of life to a world of beauty and magic.

Waking up in a familiar room, the low white ceilings and grey walls are plain, but it is my small room. I lay in bed listening to the others while the house begins to stir; the all-girl home is loud even in the early mornings. Today is the last day I will know this familiar room; I turn eighteen today.

We live in a small part of the state, after the war the states were given total government and control over their people. My mother told me stories of how one government ruled all fifty states in the beginning, but the war changed that. It seems so long ago when she passed; I was seven and put it into Mary’s Home for Ladies quickly after.

Terra! loud pounding on the door and deep raspy voice, Susan, the warden is bellowing. She is a tall woman with grey hair and eyes, her voice shows she has lived a hard life and blames everyone else for it.

Bout time you get up and get out, we need the room, and you need to get your testing done so you can leave.

The tests decide what I will do for the rest of my life, and where I will live. I am not excited, though we have been taking the tests since we were twelve, it decides if we go to the mills, the mines or lucky enough to work up state. I am too small for the mines, there is my good thought for the day, but I am orphaned so the mills will be my way. I slowly get out of bed, looking around at the familiar room, I do not have any special memories here, but I know where everything is. I decided to get ready so I can get out as quaintly as Susan put it.

It’s about time; I have to get the room ready for Molly!

I am out of the room; I am getting out I retorted as snotty as she speaks to me.

I step out on to the front stoop of the house, feeling the warmth of sunshine on my face; the fresh air fills my lungs, I should be happy to get out of there. I begin my walk to the testing center. I see others walking toward the large building. They are in groups and chattering amongst them, I quicken my pace to pass them.

The testing facility is large and shiny, the nicest building in our town. Stone pillars offset the  entryway where the huge glass doors are opened for all who turned eighteen today. I walk to the main desk to be checked in by the shy woman who works there. I wonder what she assessed to get this job; I wonder if she would tell me. I just look at her and softly say Terra Primstone

Room 4 Section D she barely looks up and she tells me where to go. The corridor is long, taking me to room 4. The large cement walls make the building cold even though the temperatures are reaching the nineties. I come to the door with the enormous number four etched into the glass.

I walk through the door; it feels like weight just dropped on to me, chills running through my spine. I go to the desk marked section D and sit to wait until my name is called. Finally, after hours of waiting I heard my name to go into the tunnel. It is so eerie, like walking into a giant MRI machine, then waiting for mechanics of it to begin.

The walls start spinning and images start flashing in front of you, the conveyor slowly moves you through the tunnel. Horrific images are in the beginning people dying in the war, then it goes to the mines and the mills.

The last set of images are followed with our governor’s voice, After the wars we knew we had to maintain a job for every able body to work, these tests were designed to monitor your reaction to each image, this gives us the ability to place you in a career best suited for you and still meets our needs. Please head to the mills for further instruction.

The conveyor stops and the door opens to the outside. Every year since I was twelve, I have been told to go to the mills. I walk slowly toward the mills savoring the sunshine and freedom, small blades of grass breaking into the cement structures around me. I think back to the stories my mother told me about trees being everywhere, in forests and valleys.

Today all is cement or steel, you only see trees and vegetation in the greenhouses where they grow the food. I did see a river once before they started to become wastelands, I have heard stories about oceans on the other sides of the country and that waves are so dangerous they capsize ships. I do wonder what the world looked like when there were grassy knolls and big shady trees. Our history books do not have pictures, but my mother used to paint them. When she died, they destroyed her work, they said her work is worthless.

The mill smells like sulfur, its dark gray structure shows where from the elements are starting to cause rust and pitting in the steel. I put my hand into the security scan, and it read my name to me, and the big doors opened. A tall man is waiting for me, he looks tired, circles under his blue eyes and his dark wavy hair is straying along his face. It is hot; the sweat is seeping down his forehead. Terra Primstone?

Yes, that is me. I speak shyly; I do not know where this meek voice is coming from.

I am Wyatt Nolan; the supervisor of the mill and I manage the apartment accommodations. Your test did not give you an actual position, it just said mills. I will show you your apartment and then we will figure out what job shall be yours. His voice tight and dark, I do not think he enjoys his career. I wonder how he got a position like this; he cannot be much older than me.

We start to walk down the corridors through the mills, the grain mills are first, and their loud stripping sounds as it breaks the grains down so it can be cooked with. The machines are large, dark steel, the lighting is dim in the area, I can barely make out the people clearing the conveyors and boxing the ground wheat up. We are turning the corner, this is the process center, and all food products in the mill are inspected here. The hallways are long, and it is so hot in these rooms, I can feel my body drenched with sweat, I hope I get to shower once in the apartment.

We turned down another hall, my guide is quiet and stoic, he has not said a word or changed his expression since he told me his name, and this is the future I have been looking forward to. Finally, we stop and he looks at me, hope you have made note of the turns in the hallways, go up the stairs, you are 4D, I will be up shortly to go over everything with you He says politely, I notice the circle thing in his ear, he must be listening to something.

I walk up the stairs, everything is so dark, I can barely see in front of me. I found 4D and opened the door. The apartment is nice, I was surprised. There is a short hallway that opens to the living room; the kitchen is to the right and another hall to the left. I check out the kitchen, it is fully stocked; this might not be so bad. Everything is the gray steel that is throughout the mill. Not much for color, but I have big windows letting light in. The small refrigerator is full of food, I have never seen so much food in a house before, and we were never allowed in the kitchens at home.

I have never even cooked before; I wonder if I will like it. I turn toward the other hallway and pass a small bathroom, same gray steel. The bedroom door is open; it has a real bed, not the cot I am used to being on. The room is cold looking; everything is steel, the bed frame, the dresser and frame of the mirror. I look out the window and can see the mines in the distance, a wave of relief comes over me, and I am not in the mines.

Tapping on the door, Wyatt walks in, I hope its ok for you in here his monotone voice can be nerve racking, I turn and look into those blue eyes, there is depth in them, but no warmth, and I do not see a friendship here.

We have curfews, you must be in your apartment by 10 PM, we give you today to get comfortable and you start work tomorrow 7AM sharp. You will be in the office to be trained as my assistant. He just turned and walked out.

That is the guide and tutorial, I think to myself, wow this is going to be fun. I have the day to explore; I am going to take advantage. I jump in the shower; oh, hot water feels wonderful. Put on my new clothes, how they know my size, I wonder to myself as I pull the jeans on and a tank top over my head. I headed out the door. I see the stairs to start figuring my way out, it is such a deserted feeling, everyone must be working, I want outside so I can feel fresh air.

Outside, everything is still cement and steel, but there is air. I walk along the path that goes to the mines, go pass little vending machines, food dispensers. I guess I will learn to cook this week since I have no money to start on.

I hear the loud music coming from the alley between the vending machines and see there is a carnival setting up. I walked slowly, and a little woman grabs my arm. She is at least seventy but has a grip of steel.

I am sorry if I am not to be walking over here, I look at her etched face, her skin ash with age and wrinkles around her peculiar eyes, almost no color in them at all. Her white hair pulled into a tight bun, with strands popping out from hard labor and sweat.

You turned 18 today, on the summer solstice? Her voice is firm and deep.

Yes, can you let go of my arm please, my voice wavers, she is scary.

You were orphaned, and your name is Terra?

How do you know this? Now I am annoyed, and strength is in my voice.

Your mother died of illness and your father dead... hmmm

    Who are you?

I am who you seek in each lifetime; your soul looks for me.

    What are you talking about?

The book, I show you the book, and then you will see.

OK I am a little leery of this woman, but she knows who I am, I do not like this.

She runs into a small tent, Come in here, Terra I look around the alley, surely there are enough people wandering around to help me if she tries to do something to me. I slowly walk into the tent, it is bigger than the alley and there are symbols painted everywhere, a large table in the middle with a silk black cloth covering the top of it.

There is a book, a huge book lies on the table. Your soul has been seeking my ancestors for hundreds of years, you have us wake your soul when you turn 18 in vessels age

My vessel, what are you talking about?

The old woman opens the book, and it is full of pictures and connotation; I step back, you’re a witch?

No, no, I am a druid, but you are ancient and now is the time for you to find your sisters.

My sisters? I am an orphan and an only child! Heat is building up in my back and neck, this woman is nonsense, this is treason, the state will execute us.

Look in the book and remember who you are The old woman bellows at me, staring at me with her colorless eyes. I look at the pictures in the book, the first is a drawing and it says 200 BC and the drawing is of me. I have long black hair, dark green eyes, and pale skin. How does she have a drawing of someone who looks like me in 200 BC? They did not have writing tools, let alone colors to draw with in 200 BC. I bellow back at her in disbelief.

    Read the connotation.

Polaque atopa, a catro, a terra, o vento, an auga elude. Traiacousafinao caosReighnpara salvara nai decreación eunirse aelaco paide creación. Vanrestaurar a maxiana terracomo debería ser.

Terra looked at the old woman, colors of emeralds come into her eyes and her white hair transcended into long flowing red hair. She was beautiful, that is all Terra could think, Who are you? still in shock and disbelief.

I just said In time you find, the four, the earth, the wind, the water, and fire. Bring the end to chaos reighn to save the mother of creation and unite her with father of creation. They will restore the magic in the earth as it should be. In a language I dont know and I understood what I said, what is going on?

I am Gaia, your true mother of your soul, you must remeber the quest of when humans started to destroy the Earth, we must protect it, Terra.

My father was executed for this kind of talk, are you insane?

Your vessel never had a father, I told you this so you would undertand today that you are not a human but an element. Your soul’s father is of time, and we must be rejoined, or the earth will die. Find your sisters, the four of you together and bring the bond to join us. Find the Faery folk, the queen will help you once she knows who you are, the timekeeper will help you

I blinked the carnival was gone, who is the timekeeper and faery folk. This must be a dream. I lost the urge to explore and started walking home. It is dark now, how long I was in that tent, there are weird shadows in every corner of the town. Where there once were many people, they are all gone now. There is a form striding toward me, it is tall and muscular, my stomach is starting to turn, the shadows are moving constantly but staying hidden. Fear is starting to take a grip on me.

Did you read the cantation? a deep voice coming from the form but familiar to me, I heard this one speak before.

    Who are you?

Did you read the cantation? Wyatt steps in closer, now I can see who he is.

What is going on, why are you out here and asking me if I read the cantation? Did you know that woman? What is going on, what are those shadows?

Wyatt looks at her, recognizing the fear in her voice, the confusion, I am the timekeeper, I was sent to help you and watch over you. If you read the cantation, your memories will start to return, dont look at the shadows, they do not know who you are, and we must start moving. He whispers this to me as he grabs my arm, I am in a daze, this cannot be happening, I do not know him and what is a timekeeper.

You have to get it together Terra, they will recognize you soon, I will explain as much as I can, but we have to move now.

Chapter 2: The Start of the Journey

NONE OF THIS MAKES sense, I start to walk with him out of town, reviewing all that just happened and now I am trusting a stranger to tell me the truth. I
