About this ebook
This collection begins with “Yellow”. This story follows an unnamed woman through her downward spiral after a traumatic event. After the event she hides away, waiting to the right moment to flee. As the minutes tick away, the woman slowly loses her grip on reality, slipping into a state of mania and paranoia, awaiting the dawn.
The second tale in this collection, “Darkness” follows Dave and his fellow survivors on their trek to a rumored safe haven in the new world they live in. After Earth is invaded and destroyed glowing beasts that devour light and heat, Dave and his crew must follow an unlikely, dimly lit path towards their salvation. They do not know if this safety is real or a false hope, but it is all they have.
The third story, “Alley Cat” follows an unnamed man as he goes about his daily life, noticing the strange and unnerving behavior of the local stray cats. After kicking a local stray cat, and repeatedly chasing off other local strays, the Man notices odd behavior in the feline community. What begins as a mystery for this man quickly spirals into fear as he is hounded by masses of felines, whose goal he cannot imagine.
The fourth, and final, tale “The Noise”, follows Jane as she battles her own fears and mind. After moving into a new home, Jane discovers an unsettling scratching noise somewhere in her home that is driving her to the brink of insanity. She battles herself while following the noise to discover what has taken residence within her home.

The blood stains on her pale, shaking hands refused to wash off. The woman stares at her reflection, and that of a haggard aristocrat on the verge of a psychotic break stared back. Her ragged breath the only sound in the small bathroom. She splashes the hot water over her hands and face again, pink streaks track down her exhausted face. She dries her hands and leaves the bathroom. Turning on the lights in the main room, she took in her surroundings. A cheap nightstand, two twin beds, a tarnished mirror hanging on the wall, a broken desk beneath it. Faded blankets sat on the small beds, a barely recognizable shade of red. The walls?
