‘The adventures of Ben and Friday’, are a series of books about the colorful exploits of two friends who travel the stars in search of adventure. No matter how ‘different’ we are in the eyes of others, what’s important is the strength within our hearts and how we use that strength to make a positive change in the world around us. There are no obstacles we can’t overcome if we put our heart and soul into it.

Story Format

Each volume of this trilogy narrates two stories simultaneously as they reach a common conclusion. One story is set in the past and the other in the present. The stories switch back and forth after each chapter, as we get to see how the events of the past, affect the present, and how our actions always have consequences in the future.

The first story of ‘Ben & Friday Save the Universe’, takes place four years after ‘Ben & Friday Race to the Rescue’, and eight years after the events of ‘Ben & Friday Go to the Moon’. The second story takes place a few weeks after ‘Ben & Friday Race to the Rescue’, which abruptly ended with a huge cliffhanger.

A young boy named Ben, has befriended an alien by the name of Friday. Together, they have experienced adventures both in space and on Earth.

Four years had passed and the two children had tried to live an ordinary life on Earth. Friday finally revealed her past to Ben and the two of them, along with their friend Judy, continued their adventures, as she had now found a family to support her in both Ben and Judy.

However, the evil of Vendall the horrible, knows no limit, and in an attempt to save a beloved one, our heroes paid the ultimate price.

One family reunited; another devastated. Is Ben strong enough to do what is necessary to save his friends and stop Vendall’s plans once and for all?

A Long Time Ago

The planet Serpo was inhabited by one of the most advanced alien civilizations in the universe. Populated by an intelligent species of aliens, their technological advances knew no limits. They had created a peaceful society which prospered and stood as a beacon throughout the universe of what any culture could achieve if not affected by wars or hate.

Serpo had many visitors from worlds both remote and near. Cultural and technological exchange was always welcome there. Representatives from Earth had the honor of being invited to witness firsthand the wonders of this unique world.

In one of the market streets, walked a couple with their newborn baby. Only a few months old, it slept peacefully in its stroller.

George, I can’t believe we’re on an alien planet! It’s so beautiful here! said the woman.

I know, honey! Who would have thought that us earth folk would be accepted here? We still have a long way to go concerning space travel, but with these guys’ help, earthlings will be traveling the universe in style! How’s our little man doing, Susan?

"He’s fast asleep; much like his father when he takes a nap!"

Hey! Like father, like son I guess. I swear I’ll do my best to protect him. No matter what, replied George.

Are we actually going to meet the royal family? I hear the king and queen are such a lovely couple, stated Susan.

Not like us, honey! But yes, they say this Randall guy is a really down to earth person. It’s a shame there’s this war going on. I hope it ends soon. This Vendall loon has already conquered a few planets. Hope he never reaches Earth, George said.

Hey, let’s move closer to the crowd. The king has arrived and will give a speech soon. I want to check him out, he continued.

As the couple and their child approached the crowd, the king and his family exited their spaceship. They were welcomed with the highest of honors as music played and flower petals fell from above.

A tall alien figure emerged from the crowd and then proceeded to welcome the king and his family.

It is of great honor to have you here today, your highness. We welcome you to our humble planet…

At that moment, a huge explosion went off, hurling people in all directions. Dust and rubble flew everywhere as the crowd spread in panic. During the chaos, one of the king’s knights approached, assisting the king back onto his feet.

My king! We were just informed that the planet is under attack. Vendall’s forces have arrived here as well.

My wife! My daughter! the king cried.

Hundreds of voices yelled in agony as the dust slowly settled and everyone was in search of their loved ones.

Father? We’re over here! Mother won’t open her eyes! yelled a young girl next to the body of her mother.

A few feet away, the majority of the king’s knights were rendered unconscious or injured from the blast. Among the first to regain his senses was Kenji; a Master swordsman and the leader of the Royal Guard and the Knights of Albami.

Your highness! The planet is under attack! We must escort you all to safety, now! yelled Kenji.

No! Take the Queen and my daughter. Your knights are not to leave their side at any cost. I will not flee away as a coward. These people have welcomed us here as guests. I will aid them in their time of need. You are to escort me to the city hall. We must assist them in any way we can, spoke the king.

But your highness, I must object…, stated Kenji.

Master Swordsman, your dedication to the royal family is beyond anyone’s doubt. I highly commend you for that. However, you must realize that as king, I am dedicated to my people’swelfare and that of all races in this universe. Let us be on our way now, ordered the king.

Reconciliation

In the early morning hours of a Saturday morning, Commander Drake and his companions worked feverishly to finish their preparations for the rescue mission. As Friday’s ship was loaded with all the necessary equipment, Mencal turned his attention to Ben’s father.
