()
About this ebook
Ben isn't any ordinary 9-year-old boy. He goes to school like every other child his age, reads comics, plays computer games, loves collecting just about anything, but what makes him different is not his stature, nor his walking cane. He has a friend... a friend named Friday, and together they'll be going on an adventure of a lifetime!

About the author
Introduction
The Adventures of Ben & Friday
‘The adventures of Ben and Friday’, are a series of books about the colorful exploits of two friends who travel the stars in search of adventure. No matter how ‘different’ we are in the eyes of others, what’s important is the strength within our hearts and how we use that strength to make a positive change in the world around us. There are no obstacles we can’t overcome if we put our heart and soul into it.
- Katherine Reilly

"Friday! What have you gotten us into again?" shouted Ben as they were running for their lives.
"Hey! It was you who sneezed and woke up all the critters," said Friday as she was panting for breath.
Why on Earth did we come here in the first place? You knew this planet was full of these things! But no! You never listen to me!
shouted Ben.
Oh, grow up and stop acting like a child!
said Friday.
"But I am a child! I’m only nine! yelled Ben as he was almost out of breath.
Is your spaceship far from here?" Ben asked anxiously.
We’re almost there, and believe me! It was worth it! Now keep running!
The two friends ran as fast as they could until they reached a cliff with no way back.
Friday! You said we were close to the ship! We can’t go back now! We’re doomed!
cried Ben.
Stop being a worry wart and hold the gem we found in their cave,
ordered Friday.
Me? Why me? You took it, you hold it! Or better yet, give it back! That’s probably what they want. It’s not ours and belongs back in their cave where we took it from!
said Ben as they both slowly made backward steps to the edge of the cliff.
The critters were growling as they cornered their uninvited guests. Their teeth showing and their fangs ready to sprawl an attack.
Friday? I would have said it was nice knowing you, but seeing how you got us in this mess…
said Ben nervously.
At that moment, Friday shoved the huge gem into Ben’s arms, pushed him off the cliff as Ben was literally screaming for his life. She then immediately jumped right after him, as the critters’ jaws were snapping from above.
Friday! We’ll be splattered like eggs!
cried Ben in agony as they seemed to be plummeting to their end.
Friday then activated a switch on her remote control and guided their spaceship right on top of them. A door opened under the belly of their ship as they were immediately sucked inside.
As the two friends tried to gain their senses, Ben snapped.
I can’t believe you! We were almost goners! You said this planet was uninhabited and that this would be like a stroll in the park! What were you thinking and why is this gem so important to you?
Ben shouted.
Why do you have to know everything? I know you humans are curious beings, but be patient; I’ll tell you soon enough,
said Friday grinning.
You’ll be the end of me one day!
Ben exclaimed as he put his hands on his head obviously shaken from his previous ordeal. You may be 100 years old, but you act exactly the age you look like,
said Ben as he sat down.
"Benjamin, you have to realize that I always know what I’m doing. Besides, I am older than you, so try to trust me more," answered Friday in a serious adult-like tone.
Yes, but you also told me that your species matures at the age of 200. So, the way I see it, you’re just a kid like me. And stop calling me Benjamin. My mom calls me Benjamin,
said Ben as he folded his arms and looked out the window of the ship.
"Oh, come on now. You can’t be that mad at me. You have to admit that we always have fun! Anyway, we have to make a quick stop for fuel on the way home. We might even grab something to eat," said Friday as she repeatedly blinked her eyes to get on Ben’s good side.
You’re unbelievable. Alright, if it doesn’t involve being chased by wild alien creatures, I’m in. Just make sure the food is not alive like last time. I can’t understand how alien races usually eat their food raw,
Ben answered in disgust.
Friday, with a huge smile on her face replied. Great! I know just the place! Remember that restaurant on Oriana V…
Oh no!
interrupted Ben. "Not
