We will miss him and his sense of humour,” Ronnie Wood tells HELLO!.

‘To honour Prince Philip, the rock star shared a portrait painted before the Duke’s death, showing the royal tipping his bowler hat at his final solo engagement, the Captain General’s Parade on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace in August 2017.

“I recently painted this picture of him from a photo I saw, and wanted to share it with you,” Ronnie posted on Instagram.

“We are very sad to hear of the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. It was an honour to have met the Prince over the years, and have been involved in his charitable causes.

“Our thoughts are with The Queen and the Royal Family. We will remember Prince Phillip with much fondness,” added the musician, who is currently working on his tribute to Jimmy
