CHAPTER ONE
When I meet people, the first question I always like to ask is your name, because, it gives me an insight about your perception of yourself (your true identity). A man or a woman that wants to make a difference in the world must first have a change of perception of their total image. There was a lady called Charity, she was born out of wedlock and was abandoned to her maternal grandmother by her parents who later went their separate ways and never bothered about her. Grand Ma on her own was not helpful. She vented her frustration on the poor innocent girl by calling her all sort of names, Cynthia was reminded on a daily basis that she was worthless and an epitome of bad luck. She was not fortunate to enjoy the love of her parents and her grandmother like other children. Her life was surrounded by a sadist grandma, frustrated mum and a proud father who never wanted to take responsibility of his daughter because of his wife that disgusted him so much. Charity grew up with the sense of being worthless.
After many years, Charity’s father died on a road accident but her mum remarried a rich businessman. Unfortunately, the marriage was not blessed with children. She later decided to take Charity to the city in order to give her the best education but in spite of all her effort, Charity was a total mess because her perception about herself was already negative, that no matter how hard she tries, she will never make it in life. Charity’s situation was so bad even all her teacher’s advice could not help even though the hired neurosurgeons confirmed that she was supposed to be a genius by her intelligent quotient (I.Q) could not help out matters. One afternoon that was supposed to be her birthday, her mother and step father decided to give her a birthday treat. They sent her away that morning to go to one of the renowned boutique for her shopping while they gathered musicians in the home and even closed down their company’s operations that day. They gathered all the staff of the company at home for celebration just to show Charity how important she was to them. They were all ready, waiting for her when a policeman sauntered into their compound. It dawned on them that something was not okay, till the policeman handed a piece of
