Chapter 1 : The Break-up

Nothing can be as painful as a relationship break-up. It can rock your world in a most disastrous way and makes you feel depressed emotionally, mentally and physically. Even spiritually, you can feel beaten and confused.

The once happy relationship, marriage or romance is now in tatters and you may well feel that your world has come to an abrupt ‘stop!’ Your first reaction after the surprise may well be - Why has this happened to me? What did I do wrong?

It seems that all your dreams have been ruthlessly smashed and the Universe has turned its back on you, right? You feel that you will never love again and if you could, you would eke revenge on everyone connected with the failed relationship!

It is in this initial stage that people often behave quite irrationally and commit terrible crimes that usually, they are quite incapable of considering or doing. We have heard tales of men bulldozing the family home, women cutting up all their ex’s clothes; destroying his golf sticks and selling his luxury car for a measly amount!

One woman, Valma disliked the attention her husband Bernard gave to his prize pig, so when she found out that he was seeing a younger woman, she had the pig slaughtered and served him his pork sausages for breakfast with her divorce papers!

One man hated his wife so much, that he intentionally staged a bank robbery, so that he would be caught and sent away to prison, to get away from her. Fortunately, she divorced him while he was in prison!

Others lie in bed at night, plotting revenge and making elaborate schemes, to dispose of their ex-spouse and their current love flame.
