About this ebook

A continuation from the first in the Master Darcy series, Trusting Mr. Darcy...

Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth have faced their own demons, and that of the extended Darcy family, but now they must face the hard reality of having started their engagement the way they did. Would society accept them if they knew the couple had begun as illicit lovers out of the bonds of marriage?

After the unthinkable cruelty of surprise guest, Elizabeth has run north, to Scotland, to save Mr. Darcy's reputation from word of their 'agreement' escaping into general knowledge of the London ton.

When Mr. Darcy hears that his beloved has left London, and is nowhere to be found, he sets out to find her. Will it be too late? Will he find her before she follows the instructions she received to wed, and bed, a Scot to leave her out of Darcy's reach as an acceptable wife, forever?

The final book in the Master Darcy Series is explosive, passionate, and culminates in a happily-ever-after ending for Our Dear Couple, no matter how unlikely it seems.

The rain in Scotland was nothing to be disregarded, Elizabeth discovered quickly after her journey north had concluded itself at the edge of the wild lands. Gretna Green was overcast when she arrived in the lover’s hamlet, and overcast it had remained.

The clouds mirror the disposition of my heart, she found herself writing in her journal, for keeping a diary of sorts was the only method she had of pouring out the emotions that had begun to ruin her since her flight from Mr. Darcy, from London, and from the society that would spurn her if they new the truth of her relationship

Never mind then, Lizzy, best not to think of the past, she murmured quietly as she sat at the secretary in the rough, but well-appointed rooms of the inn she was staying at. It was amazing what an excess of coin could purchase someone this far north, and although the locals looked askance at her (a young English woman, traveling alone, with no chaperone, and no man that it was apparent she was to meet and go to the anvil with), she had been left relatively unmolested and undisturbed.

Such a thing did little to settle the storms in her heart, and she mourned for Mr. Darcy’s presence. She ached for the gentle touch of his hand upon hers, for the sight of his eyes crinkling at the corners at some small joke she made and… and if she had to be honest, although she did not pen down such desires, for the heat of his mouth upon her skin, and the strike of his palm against an exposed thigh. Warmth blossomed in her lower belly at the memory, the very visceral memory, of what they had shared, two consenting adults who did not care for social mores and did not worry about what the world would think

She blotted her paper delicately and closed the leather cover over the sheaf of diary entries. She ought to burn them. Especially given what she was in Scotland to do, she had best burn them, but she could not bring herself to erase the memory of Mr. Darcy from her mind, or from her written record

Her future husband, whomever he might be, would simply have to understand that the little leather envelope, with
