About this ebook
The Founders of Survive and Thrive Bootcamp share their experiences and stories around entrepreneurship and global conferences. Their goal in creating the Survive and Thrive Bootcamp was to return meaningful engagements at tech conferences for start-up and lifestyle entrepreneurs. They were determined to find an antidote for mega tech conferences where little value is available for these hard working entrepreneurs. "We’ve been to many of the big start-up summits and conferences for entrepreneurs, and yes, we came away with great information...but what we really wanted was true access to mission-driven investors, partners and mentors in an intimate environment. Our ultimate Goal at Survive and Thrive is to help Mission-Driven Entrepreneurs get the Knowledge, Resources and Partnerships to go from Surviving to Thriving."
The Founders also share their experience of collaboration and lesson learned as serial and social entrepreneurs.

The prize for the calmest most giving Advisors, when our wheels were wobbling, would go to Maryanne Morrow who never missed a Sunday Morning 6 a.m. call even when she travelled to Berlin and Switzerland…maaawhh. And to Ari Zoldan, our other pretty cool advisor, thank you for your unwavering support and the cool party.
To our editor Patrice Samara, who stuck toothpicks in her eyelids when the book became a rush job…thank you. And to the hardest working woman I know, whose optimism is all you need to keep going, Dee Rivera. We say a big thank you…and, when you are out of breath and have to grab that water on your climb…you will also thank Dee. To Gail Powell, Jamar Rogers, Luz Wang and D.J Matt. Introduction
We are living in a crazy world. That’s what every generation says. I remember going to my niece’s graduation in 2000 and the guest speaker was the King of Greece…didn’t even know Greece still had Kings. He read a passage about the future generation…they were spoiled, useless, had no gumption, and were forever fiddling. As it turned out, the passage he read had been written in the eighteen hundreds. So, is it a crazy world or are things in this world made to change as part of its life cycle? Is change one of the only other constants, other than death and taxes? Things have definitely changed in the world but for every generation, it always seems as though the world is ending.
Abacuses gave way to calculators then begat computers. Agriculture to manufacturing then to technology. Frankly, all that is happening is that people like you and me, entrepreneurs and inventors, are always looking for a way to simplify processes and continually improve on those that came before us. In other words, we are trying to build a better mousetrap that democratizes processes. After all, who wants to have to take the dead mouse out of the trap…if the trap could just turn it into mulch?
If you ask, me we are
