The first day on set was sending my butterflies into overdrive. I shouldn’t be nervous. It wasn’t like it was my first television show or anything. And the producers did ask for me personally. The role was made especially for me.

No, the problem was that I would be working with Cale Montgomery, and I would be playing his love interest. He was the hottest guy on the planet and completely out of my league.

I was the bigger star out of both of us—the media crowned me as the latest ‘it’ girl—but when I was in Cale’s presence, I felt like a stupid little teenager with nothing but acne and boobs that were too big.

When I received the script, I devoured it quickly. I was playing a vampire in a dark and moody serial about teenagers trying to make it in a supernatural world. Cale played a vampire too, and apparently, we had more than one hot love scene together. I was going to die. Someone stake me now before I suffered the humiliation.

Hey, Ellie, right? The voice came from behind, but I already knew who the smooth, deep voice belonged to. I guessed my embarrassment was going to start early.

I spun around. Standing before me was Cale Montgomery. The beautiful Cale Montgomery. His almost-black hair was perfectly styled and a little bit mussed. His sapphire eyes sparkled with intensity.
