Hunter glanced toward the office as he started to get behind the wheel of his truck and his brown eyes met Sage’s green stare. Sage stood in the doorway watching him.
For the longest time, Hunter was immobilized by Sage’s paralyzing eye contact. In just a matter of a few minutes, the dark haired giant of a man held him mesmerized by his electrifying eye capture.
Again, Hunter felt his heart fluttering nonstop and skipping a beat as sensuous thoughts raced through his head about his potential flight instructor. He felt his insides tremble with awareness. Eventually, he heard the sound of a telephone ringing in the office. Sage shook his head as if to clear it and turned away, breaking eye contact with Hunter.
Hunter got behind the wheel, trying to make sense over what just happened between them. There were so many thoughts filling him he couldn’t decipher any of them.
The one thought that kept sifting through his head was that Sage might be trying to send him a silent message that he was interested in finding out more about him. Hell, maybe that’s wishful thinking on my part. Tomorrow couldn’t come quick enough for him as he drove from the lot and onto the highway.
