    AST September, sitting upside a hedgerow in the dawn sunshine, our Senior MFH ran an idea past me. “I really enjoyed your last column,” she opened. This is usually the point at which I exit a conversation swiftly, avoiding face-to-face discussion about any clangers I may have dropped. However, autumn hunting doesn’t lend itself to cantering off calling, “Sorry, can’t stop” into the wind, so I waited for the inevitable. “We’d like to reinstate the hunt newsletter and thought you might be able to help.” Relief. Far less worrying than I anticipated and surely a simple task?
