- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Good basic tactics book with explanations and with two diagrams for most problems. 332 problems grouped by theme, and 6 annotated illustrative games. Suitable for an improving player. Get the 2013 edition, which is in algebraic notation if descriptive notation is a problem for you.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5An old book that focuses on tactics. It is set up to be a series of positions and problems to be solved. Can you really learn to see three moves ahead? I think so. This book is helpful in that goal.
