Have you only lately picked up the game and are still Chess Blind
?
Maybe you’ve recently picked up the game of chess after reading one of the books in this series for beginners. Even when you know what each component accomplishes, a position still appears to be a disorganised collection of parts. Is this a treatable type of dyslexia, or should we call it dis-chessia? It’s well knowledge that a few moves may lead to millions of possible chess situations. Isn’t learning to read the same way? Although there are countless ways to arrange the letters, once you learn to read, you can quickly understand words and phrases to understand sentences. In the game of chess, this is also true. The letters are called pieces, and groupings of pieces combine to form patterns, similar to words, which together determine the present location. Next, you perused the present state as if it were a phrase.This book is intended to be more than just a collection of riddles, according to the creator. Rather, it is a sequence of brief lectures meant to elucidate the central idea of a set of riddles. After then, each puzzle set begins with a location that has been peeled back to highlight the pattern. The board then gets additional pieces added and more subdued variations of the pattern presented as the series of puzzles for that theme develops.
The second book in the series is this one. In the first book, we worked our way up from very simple strategies to forks
and checkmates. We will only touch on the fundamentals briefly in this book, and even then, they will be at a
