About this ebook

Rhona loves to get under Rath’s skin, and as his personal assistant she made it a policy to do it often. She would love to get under him in another way but he can’t see past her being his best friend’s little sister. When they go to Las Vegas for Logan and Sarah’s wedding things change between them. It appears that Logan and Sarah aren’t the only ones to get married. Now if she could just remember how it happened before Rath finds out and ends things before they even begin.

Rath can’t figure out why Rhona can get under his skin so easily or why the brat was purposely baiting him, trying to get him to lose his legendary cool. After one night in Vegas, one he doesn’t remember, everything has changed. Now he can’t get her out of his head, and he can’t seem to keep his hands off her. Something is going on with her and he’s going to find out what it is.

Just as things start to heat up with them trouble rears its ugly head. Rath makes a decision that could destroy any hope of a happy ever after for both of them.

And of course, the results of the wager have to be ironed out, but don’t expect it to be as easy as ‘just deciding a winner’...

exerpt:
The next morning Rhona woke to a blinding headache, she had the weirdest dream. She dreamt she went clubbing with Rath and ended up having sex with him, then him dragging her to an all-night chapel and getting married. She really should stop dreaming and fantasizing about her brother’s best friend and her boss.

She rolled over and came face to face with Rath. She scooted as quietly as she could to the edge of the bed then swung her legs over and all but fell out. He moaned and moved, his arm sliding over the side she just vacated, like he was reaching for her. Her hands went to her mouth to hold in a scream, when she noticed the ring on her finger. Oh, my god! She was wearing his signet ring, the one you never seen him without.

Rhona picked up her clothes and left his room to go into his guest bedroom and started dressing. She heard him moving around so she peeked out the door and seen him run to the door of his room, opening it and looking out.

He shut the door and looked around, that’s when he noticed his ring was gone, he just starred at his hand like he thought it would magically appear. “Son of a fucking bitch!” He roared, then went back to his bedroom slamming the door.

Rhona figured this was probably the best time for her to sneak out so she eased the door opened, holding her shoes and tiptoed to the door, stopping and picking up her purse. She tried to pull the ring from her finger and it wouldn’t budge. She finally gave up as she eased the front door open and tried to close it quietly. It gave a firm snap and that’s when she decided to run.

Rhona knew he would have heard the door shut, and that he would be out that same door within seconds. She ducked into the stairwell and ran down to the next floor, she heard the door open above her and knew Rath was coming for her. She ran to her room, pulling her key card out of her purse unlocking it quickly got the door opened and was inside with the door shut just as he barreled out of the stairwell, looking around.

Rhona was watching him through the peep hole, walk down the hall looking at every door, he paused outside hers, his eyes narrowing, then walking on. Rhona walked into her bathroom, putting her hands under the water, before soaping them up, trying to pull the ring from her finger, she almost cried in relief as it finally slipped free. She walked into her room and picked up her purse, she would have to figure out how to get it back to him. She opened her purse and seen an envelope of papers in it, she felt dread in the pit of her stomach, pulling them out and opening them she almost passed out. It was her marriage license. She was married to Rath.

I can can usually be found plunking away at the computer or arguing with one of my characters, (which means talking to myself), in my batcave. I'm an avid reader of just about everything in print but I LOVE romance. Johanna Lindsey, Julie Garwood, Judith McNaught and Jude Deveraux are who I cut my teeth on. I can remember hiding under the covers with a light reading because I had to finish that last chapter before I went to sleep. My grandmother fostered my love of reading, encouraged me to read whatever I could get my hands on. I love insta-love, happy ever afters, alpha men and sassy women. I still love all the above mentioned ladies but now have new authors to add to my 'have to read' list. When I'm not writing I can be found playing with my beautiful granddaughters and my handsome grandson, reading anything I can get my hands on, and daydreaming about traveling the world. I'm addicted to ancestry and trying new recipes my sister makes. I'm her official taste-tester and will fight tooth and nail to keep that title.
