    Lucy McFarland can’t stand Maximillian Monroe, her bosses best friend. That's what she says as she sits fanning herself after one of his visits. He comes in everyday just to push every button she has, sometimes twice. One of these days she going to take him up on one of his offers just to see him run for the hills, wouldn't that be a welcome sight. Then why does the thought of him leaving make her stomach hurt and her eyes water?

    Max wants Lucy but he's not chasing any woman, that's what he tells himself as he runs her down when she took off after one kiss. Maybe a little more than a kiss but that doesn’t matter, the fact is she ran and now the game of cat and mouse begins. It’s just a game, right? Then why does the thought of her in another man’s arms make him want to hit someone?

    Lucy doesn't know what his game is but she's not playing. Ok, maybe she played a little bit, but now she's going to hide until he loses interest. But with a man like Max hunting her, she soon realizes there's no place she can hide that he won’t find her

I can remember hiding under the covers with a light reading because I had to finish that last chapter before I went to sleep. My grandmother fostered my love of reading, encouraged me to read whatever I could get my hands on. I love insta-love, happy ever afters, alpha men and sassy women. I still love all the above mentioned ladies but now have new authors to add to my 'have to read' list. When I'm not writing I can be found playing with my beautiful granddaughters and my handsome grandson, reading anything I can get my hands on, and daydreaming about traveling the world. I'm addicted to ancestry and trying new recipes my sister makes. I'm her official taste-tester and will fight tooth and nail to keep that title.
