Introduction
Have you ever thought of using a pressure cooker in the kitchen? Have you seen chefs use them on television but were afraid to use them because you didn’t know much about them?
In this book, I’m going to explain how to properly and safely use a pressure cooker and provide you with some tasty recipes to try out!
But first, why should you use a pressure cooker in the first place?
Did you know that pressure cookers help food retain most of their nutrients and keep foods tasting good?
The longer you cook something, the more nutrients you destroy. In addition, the more water you use to cook something, the more your nutrients leach out into that water and leave you with food that’s pretty dull and lifeless. When you cook with a pressure cooker, you use less water and that water evaporates, leaving you with food that has retained most of its nutrients and its color, too!
Pressure cooking helps you save energy!
If you’re looking for a way to cook that will help you save on your gas or electric bill, pressure cooking is the way to go. You’ll use a lot less cookware and you’ll be cooking in a shorter period of time.
Not only do you save energy with pressure cookers, but you save time, too.
You get to spend more time with your family because a meal that takes an hour will now take less than twenty minutes. You shave off seventy percent of your cooking time with a pressure cooker!
You’ll spend a lot less on air conditioning in the summer.
The kitchen will be a lot cooler because the pressure cooker retains most of the heat inside of it, and this equals a cooler kitchen.
