Sir Dudley and the Unholy Grail - T.J. Lantz
Hear ye, Hear ye,
cried Duke Tobias Ellington, speaking down to the crowd from a raised wooden platform. Welcome to the forty-third and one-half annual, Coalition of the Burning Heart, Tournament of Champions.
A small group of knights and squires clapped politely, while hundreds of commoners in the sitting area hooted and hollered as loud as they could. Three other nobles—two older men with white beards and wrinkled skin, and a doe-eyed younger woman with dark, silky hair, sat just behind the Duke. They made no motion to applaud, or even smile.

The Coalition’s vast and talented network of intelligence gatherers has found new information regarding the whereabouts of the...
He paused for effect. The crowd leaned in closer. HOLY GRAIL!
A collective gasp thinned the air, before the crowd erupted with cheers. Everyone was clearly excited about the prospect of recovering the most sought after holy relic in all of history. Sir Dudley Tinklebutton, however, had a more pressing matter on his mind—one that if he didn’t find an answer to quickly would have eliminated any chance he had at even competing in the Tournament, let alone being chosen to quest for the Grail. He needed to stall—it was a matter of life and death. Seeing the Duke ready to signal the start of the first
